MenuCalendarClock for iCal 4.0 (Mac OS X)
Best of its kind-Updated Review ![]()

I have had MenuCalendarClock for a couple of years and yes the upgrade was free and even automatically remembered my registration number this time. One thing, if you have a problem or any questions after installing DO NOT assume that the email address from the distributing company is the developer's, like I had done originally. My last review I stated they never contacted me however I found my mistake and emailed the address on the site and got my answer. My guess is the distributing company doesn't forward questions about the product to the developers. Anyway, have used it for a long time and love it. Now that I have it fully registered I am enjoying the versatility of the app. a lot. Recommended [alert admin]

Safe Sphere 2.2.1 (Mac OS X)
I have been using Safe Sphere for several years now and could not live without it. I had to open Safe Sphere to get my password for VT to post this review. Lately I had a permissions problem when I upgraded to Leopard and changed user settings, Pascal immediately was very helpful and walked me through the fix. In the past he has always responded to my questions fast. I agree that at first glance it may not look like a comprehensive app but use it for a couple days and you will find it is more than you need. The encryption is very strong! I have everything from Banking info and Online accounts to Software Versions and Medical Prescriptions on it. Use it everyday. This software is a bargain. Highly recommended! [alert admin]

MenuCalendarClock for iCal 3.1.8 (Mac OS X)
I like the product. I have used it for years and find it useful but Customer Service is NONEXISTENT! When the CalendarMenuClock first came out, I tried to purchase a license and the credit card was declined. I tried to contact them for months and months to find out why and I finally received an email saying I had used a card that had expired but they could do nothing because they use a payment service that did not tell them when this kind of thing happened. That's lame. Fast forward to two weeks ago, I purchased a license for the new 10.5 version and I cannot register it nor can I use the benefits of the purchased version. I have sent three emails to them in the last two weeks and still nothing. They have my money but I can't use their software. I do not recommend this company but as I said I like the free version of the product. [alert admin]

SuperDuper 2.5 (Mac OS X)
Incredibly fast reply every time I have a question. This software is a "MUST HAVE" even if you have Time Machine. This program is so much more. [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 2.1.2 (Mac OS X)
since I updated to 2.1.2. I have both the MX700 and the Dual Laser Notebook mouse and they are extremely unpredictable since the update. Today I purchased the VX and the MX Revolution and they are not fully programable with this driver software 2.1.2 Neither one could remember the W-Command keystroke and the One Button Search is totally NOT programable for anything but search. Yes you do have options i.e.; Spotlight, Google etc... but the button is not programable. This limits the options. The Thumb Wheel on the MX is worthless and hard to use without pushing the mouse around. Logitech really missed on these 2 new products and especially on this version of the driver. I have had good luck with the older versions and glad I still have them on disk. Has Logitech abandoned the Mac user with this poor software? Also they do not provide enough documentation to be helpful. PASS ON THIS ONE for now. [alert admin]

Safe Sphere 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)
I have been using the demo for a week or so and I upgraded to Pro. I have tried several different encryption programs to use for storing passwords etc... and this one is by far the most intuitive and easy to use. This one has it all. The fields are well thought out and have plenty room for extra text. The pallet is a real time saver! This is a deal for the Standard or the Pro version and as has been said already, the developer is very responsive. I have used Ghost Sphere for a long time and it too is well designed, intuitive and easy to use for even more security. Consider me a happy customer. [alert admin]

HP PSC 2100 series 7.7.2 (Mac OS X)
Ok, so I took the time to download and install the "NEW" driver for my 2175 psc and STILL they did not fix the bug with Safari. At first it wouldn't even print, it just spit out 4 blank pages. So I reset the printer and now it does the same as it always has. It spits out four or five blanks and then prints the webpage. You would think that if HP would make a driver for the MAC that they would fix this ever present bug in the software!? This is a nice printer but not for use with the Mac. I do like the HP Email Portal and some of their photo software is cool. Frustrated [alert admin]
