PhoneValet 5.4.2 (Mac OS X)

5.4.2 - what's in it

PhoneValet 5.4.2 is an update that allows the software to be installed and used along with our new CurbTalker real estate information system. Real Estate agencies can share voicemail/call recordings and telephone property listings on the same line(s) by using both products. [alert admin]

BannerZest 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Great product.

I purchased this with a bundle and am very impressed with the output and how easy it makes it for flash animations. It's obvious the developer has put a lot of time and effort into this product. I hope he/they keep it going - try it! [alert admin]

PhoneValet 5.0 (Mac OS X)

Two Paid Upgrades This Year?

I can see they put a lot of effort into this release, but two paid upgrades in 9 months seems excessive. Having paid to go from 4.0 to 5.0 I'd think they'd at least give me a better upgrade than those who didn't upgrade earlier this year. . . version 2, 3, or 4 owners all pay the same upgrade price. Guess I'll wait for version 7 next November. [alert admin]

Note Studio 3.3.1 (Mac OS X)

Great Combo for Palm/Mac users!

I looked at this app for a couple of months before buying it because of the price and then took the plunge a while ago. It is a terrific combination for anyone wanting to keep and sync notes between a Mac (or PC) and a handheld. I've been running it virtually error-free for about six months. Some nice changes in this update! Thanks for giving us a mac version. [alert admin]

Longhand 2.4 (Mac OS X)

Great piece of software!

To the author, I had to help my daughter last night with solving several equations and figuring out how negative numbers impacted them. Found this on VersionTracker and it performed beautifully. Thanks! Documentation was also very helpful! [alert admin]

Butler 4.0b26 (Mac OS X)

Great Update

This update seems to take care of my only complaint about Butler, and that was that it seemed to lag when I activated it. It now comes up instantly and anticipates my every command, like a good Butler should. I did go through and clean out some old shortcuts to applications that I had deleted or updated. Maybe that helped too. Anyway, five stars for something I couldn't live without! [alert admin]

Upgrade Cost - Unfair?

I just bought this in May for $200, now they want another $30 for custom ringtones. Am I missing something? [alert admin]

Beware of Upgrade Pricing

Probably a better title would have been - Be Aware of Upgrade Pricing - I think that's what he meant.

Feature Request

That's actually a feature in the new version 3.0 - it's under "page" called open in new window. It's pretty cool!

Looks cool, but productivity down

I have to agree completely. I installed the "pro" version and couldn't believe how much screen space it takes. I'll wait and see if the old pallets come back before upgrading. I use CopyPaste many many times each day!

Two Paid Upgrades This Year?

I stand corrected. I paid $206 in May of 2005 and then $30 in August of the same year (version 3). I did indeed receive version 4 for free. As I said in my rant? (not really meaning it as a rant), I can see you put a lot of work into the upgrade. I appreciate your taking the time to reply to me. Don Sykes

Upgrade Cost - Unfair?

Colin, I really do like PhoneValet, and understand your charging for the upgrade. It's just that I held off buying it for a long time because of the cost, and now wish I'd held off another two weeks. . . Don Sykes

Additional Caller ID features look Great

You're probably right - I'm just disappointed 'cause I hemmed and hawed for a year before I bought it and then they came out with a paid upgrade 6-weeks later. If you end up getting the upgrade, please report back on how it works! Don Sykes

No AvantGo Conduit

I had a file installed called MarkSpace Conduit for AvantGo.plugin - doubleclicked and it installed the conduit for me - haven't tried it yet though. . .
