iSMARTtrain 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
if you are a martial artist, in physical training or weight-lifting - r indeed anything other than a swimmer, runner, or cyclist, this will be worthless to you. It is quite inflexible in this regard. I suspect it's excellent for the intended user, but they impose too narrow a definition of "training". A shame - I'd very much like to try this if it ever chooses to broaden its view of acceptable activities. [alert admin]

Not perfect, but okay, until I printed the list. No matter ehat I do, I cannot make the list print in a way that will fit on a single sheet...and NO I don't mean lengthwise - it prints 2 pages per screen-full, ignores the paper size, ignores the font size, ignores everything I tell it & does exactly what it wants, which is apparently to waste hundreds of sheets of paper & who-knows-how-much toner, leaving me with a completely useless result. I will never use this program again, nor will I use anything else by this author. [alert admin]

Roxio Popcorn 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Cannot log in to Roxio's wretched site
Roxio really does offer a nonexistent level of support: their website is one of the worst online experiences available. For example, I clicked the link for the new.ver which took me to their site; I cut+Pasted the login and password from my Roxio confirmation, click 'Login', and nothing happens. Nothing at all happens. It could be incompetence, it could be indifference: I no longer care. I've completely written them off at this point: I will use Toast T6 and Popcorn for as long as they continue to function, but I will not waste any more of my life or my resources attempting to get ANY kind of service from them. Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 (Mac OS X)
Deeply disappointed in Adobe...
PE 4 is a perfect example of Adobe's attitude toward the Mac market. Guess they want to be the monopoly power of creative productivity. Fine: I bought 2, and I bought 3 - I will not buy 4. I was all set to, and eagerly looking forward to it...then this: perhaps the most transparent "up yours" from a company to its customers since Commodore abandoned external expansion for the Amiga I will stay with PE 3 and Macromedia Studio as long as they give decent performance under Rosetta; by then Adobe will have repaired their attitude, the DoJ (or EU) will have disallowed the absorption of Macromedia as monopolistic (that will take a different administration in Washington), or I'll do without. Eudora Internet Mail Server 3.2.8 (Mac OS X)
every few months I run into references to a free version of EIMS, but I've never been able to track it down - even though it's supposed to be available on Eudora/Qualcomm. so: is it real? where is it? I'm certainly not spending $400 on this in order to find out if I can make use of it! [alert admin]

SOHO Business Cards 1.3.0 (Mac OS X)
completely NON-functional under 10.4
I bought this, after using it for a bit - felt good about doing so. Only problem was that selecting my Avery form template accomplished nothing in terms of improved printing registration. Upgraded to 1.3.0 when Tiger came out - and now it freezes during start-up. EVERY TIME...and this is the "Tiger compatible" version! Consulted the Help file - but it's for "Labels & Envelopes" (which I have neither downloaded or installed) - hard to feel good about throwing $30 away.... Chances of me buying any of Chronos' programs in future = very poor. [alert admin]

Roxio Popcorn 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
this may be a Tiger-compatibility fix, but Popcorn keeps crashing when I try to use it (ie, set up a burn). Too bad - hope they get it straightened out. [alert admin]

Yesterday was Mother's Day here in the US; today, this thing is telling me TODAY is Mother's Day. Dashboard space is too scarce to waste it on this! [alert admin]

Are you not very good at your job, or just very good at complaining? Neither of my Macs (PMG4MMD, MBP rev2) or any the macs I help administer (PB-Ti 17", PB-Al 12", iBook G4, Mini rev 1) have had ANY trouble running under Leopard. If you want to be useful - or just taken seriously, talk like you know what you're talking about, 'kay? In all events, you & yours are not "EVERYBODY" Thanks for playing!

I was unsurprised when my still-new copy of Disk Warrior wouldn't work on my new MacBookPro, but I AM surprised it's taken THIS long for them to produce an intel-capable version - and I'm seriously disappointed that it's only available as a paid upgrade. I dislike TechTool Pro intensely, and have waited impatiently for Alsoft to deliver; it seems now I'll have to wait until DW is is certified w/ Leopard. This ill-advised move of…

So the "free" version is "free", as in 'kicked to the curb'.... Of course abandonware is free: no-one will buy it. And USD400 for the "real" version? I'll just leave it the curb!

Please add 1 more interface feature ...
agree on all points: excellent program, great support, and destination folder should default to the source directory. The 'new interface feature' should be to *override* this default behavior.

Roxio Popcorn rips Users not DVD's
stupid to blame Apple for Roxio's shortcomings. I bought Toast 4/5/6, but I will not buy Toast 7. Is Toast or Popcorn the problem? NO. Is Apple the problem? No. ROXIO is the problem. the un-navigable website? the impossible registration/update/upgrade procedures? the lack of any help at all for customers? ALL TRUE. IT IS CHEAPER TO BUY TOAST STAND-ALONE THAN TO UPGRADE IT. I won't buy anything from them & won't upgrade what I…
