iSale 1.1.3 (Mac OS X)

from a Powerseller

I saw an advertisement for this in the latest MacAddict and decided to give it a spin...while I like how everything is integrated in an Apple iApp like style, I cannot submit one of the test auctions to eBay...so far the only limitation listed in the shareware is not being able to make more than 3 auctions. I hit "submit", it authenticates and relays the charge of the auction. When I click ok, nothing happens. Now either this is a bug that needs to be addressed... ...or the author expects people to pay for his application without being able to thoroughly test it. Either way, it's bad. [alert admin]

MacJournal 3.0b2 (Mac OS X)

wow...

this app has had a perminent spot in my dock for over a year...i constantly use it for everything you could possibly imagine: jotting down story ideas, taking notes, quickly balancing my bank account...you name it. i would've GLADY forked over $15 or $20...but $30? C'mon Dan, you're going to lose a LOT of customers. I feel like if you'd asked for $10-$15 you'd likely make a hell of a lot more than you will now. MacJournal will still have a perm spot in my dock...it'll just never be updated past 2.7 [alert admin]

Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne 1.15 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

i don't understand

I got RoC and TFT the first days they were released and I have never, *ever* had a problem updating on my iMacs and two TiBooks...I can't understand why people are having all of these problems, and I was able to login to the Westfall beta server just fine. I'd suggest going to the battle.net forums and signing up, there's a thread where they want people to post all glitches. :/ That said, WC3 and the expo are the best $80 or so I've ever spent on a game. Constant updates and balances, new units, and now a new hero and RT is WAY more balanced! Plus there's a plethora of modified games available for play as well... I sincerely hope that they continue adding new heros and items, and that one day the Merc camp slots are filled with new heros...hell I'd go for another expansion, but with WoW that looks unlikely. Extremely Satisfied. :) ---as for the 9 vs X issue, I've heard that for big battles, 9 is better, but for faster load times, X wins. If you're having slowdown issues, I'd recommend shutting off anything like a konfabulator widget or extra apps...free up all the memory you can when playing. [alert admin]

Adium X 0.53 (Mac OS X)

hands down THE best client

save for a few things that will undoubtedly be implimented in further versions. basically if you can imagine a buddy list, you can customize it. file transfer, audio chat (video maybe?) will bring this to the top of the stack. [alert admin]

Apple AirPort 3.4.1 (Mac OS X)

linksys fixed

under the previous update, my wifi connection via linksys kept timing out over and over again. at first i thought it was something *I* was doing. this update fixed it. leave it to apple to not even comment on a known bug, forcing many of it's users to waste time troubleshooting a problem that's caused by them.
