Forget about it. Junk. Has to be re-installed for each Safari session. Am using 10.6.1 & Safari 4.0.3. Needs more work, lots & lots of it. [alert admin]

Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 (Mac OS X)
It's utter crap. Whenever I try to make a change to an existing file all I get is an error message stating: "Could not complete your request because of a program error." I have tried it on a 700MHz G3 iBook and on a 1 GB G4 eMac with the same result each time. Re-installs don't help. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I've gone back to PE3. [alert admin]

iClip 3.7 (Mac OS X)
Ugh! What a hideously ugly appearance this V 4 has. Also, I don't like the fact that I can't easily scroll between different clipping sets, as I have 10 sets on one Mac & about 15 on another. I've given up on this piece of junk, I've gone back to V 3.7, which I had on a backup disk. I recommend iClip for its ease of use, but my recommendation stops at V 3.7. [alert admin]

iCooked 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)
While neither of my G3s appear to be the 750 FX type, I have been able to use this application with a 600 MHz slot-load iMac and a 366 MHz Clamshell iBook. The iMac runs happily at 900 MHz, and I have had the iBook working fine at 600 MHz. Occasional forays right up to the 1300 MHz limit have not bothered either computer, both of which are at their maximum RAM capability; 1GB for the iMac & 576 MB for the iBook. Photo editing speed has increased markedly and applications such as NeoOffice & Photoshop load much quicher. [alert admin]

Widget, The World Watcher 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I couldn't download it! What's the secret? This is the 404 message I got when I tried on two different browsers, Firefox 1.0.3 & Safari 2.0. "The requested URL /zacks/wtww.zip was not found on this server." [alert admin]

A possibility is to open the installer package with Pacifist and drag the application from Pacifist to the desktop. Another way is the method I used: I have an older PPC PowerMac running OS 10.5.8. I followed the Software Update method, then copied the file over to my MacBook Pro which runs OS 10.6.

Old Mac Compatibility in New Version
If you visit the developers website via VersionTracker, you'll find version 2.9.9b, which is suitable for 68k machines. I also use version 2.9.9a (PPC) on a Performa 5260 and OS 8.6.

A fellow member of AUSOM (Apple Macintosh Users Society Of Melbourne) writes: \"I read about hassles downloading disk image files, the problem was that the \"machine code\" fills the browser page instead of being downloaded. The solution offered was cryptic, something about using another browser. It\'s easy, if a dmg file is written to the browser page instead of being downloaded, stop the download then option-click the link, bingo, problem solved. The explanation is that the browser tries to…

How, pray tell, were you able to download version 2.10? Whether I use Mozilla, M$IE ot Netscape to try downloading either version 2.12 or 2.10, all I get is a text file.
