Apple iPhoto 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)

>

The install was fine, but upon updating the thumbs, it gives me a kernel panic. This is replicable each time I try. How can Apple release software with such basic faults? [alert admin]

Poisoned 0.515 (Mac OS X)

memory leak not fixed!

past two versions, every time i start up the client it eats my remaining 400 megs of space upon launch and freezes up my entire system. force-quitting and rebooting brings those 400 megs back into existance. i think this is attributable to some massive, unfixed memory leak. please get on this. thanks. Halo 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Halo

I wish this came out when my G4 450MP was still relatively new. Several years later, this game is not for my system anymore. Can't wait to play Doom 3 on my G6.

The gaming experience on the Macintosh leaves much to be desired.

Haxial KDX 1.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

...

given that it's a free product (okay, 30 day eval), KDX is one hell of an undertaking by one person that has resulted in a very functional application. i know that I am thankful that KDX exists, especially since other companies (ahem, Hotline) cannot seem to get their act together, I'm glad that it's available for the Macintosh, and I am thankful that the developer is nice and thoughtful enough to fix bugs, add new features, and consider user feedback, all free of charge. if that's not more than enough for you, thank take your smug self elsewhere but please don't *censored* at developers for not doing enough for you for free. the mac shareware developer community is a fantastic one and I'm glad that KDX is part of it. Microsoft Virtual PC 6.1.0 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

why?

Why does Microsoft have to own so many decent Mac assets? VirtualPC? Office? Blizzard Entertainment?? Watch them buy the OS soon... *sigh* [alert admin]

mlMac 0.6 (Mac OS X)

upgrades and erratic downloads

upon launch, after having downloaded the initial client, it still asks me to update something, but can never get around to downloading it. furthermore, i find that downloads tend to die out, but can be given new life by pausing and resuming. could you keep them more consistent? great product though -- bright future. also, is there any way to make movie downloads sequential? maybe they already are, but i find that upon previewing a movie file, only certain parts of the movie are downloaded, and these parts are not contiguous making for a pretty sad preview. keep up the good work, kiddo. GraphicConverter X 4.7 (Mac OS X)

what shareware should be

GraphicConverter is living proof that developing shareware software can be lucrative for the developer. Furthermore, it is very important for the development of a platform. It's because of GraphicConverter, and other Mac shareware developers out there that the Mac OS is as usable, flexible, and powerful as it is today. Thank you developers. [alert admin]
