CoverFlow 1.997 (Mac OS X)

Needs dual monitor support

I have two 20" apple displays and would love to run Coverflow full screen across all the real estate. Also, it would be absolutely amazing to hit the down arrow while over an album and see it flip around to display the track names. [alert admin]

VODcaster 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Best-kept podcasting secret!

I saw Vodcaster used in a podcasting demo and was amazed. I have content to distribute through pod and vodcasting, but I didn't have a way to wrap everything in an xml file. Enter Vodcaster. I'll be giving a few podcasting demos over the next few months, and downloading this app will be one of the important steps. Oh, it's free! [alert admin]

Very cool with guitar

I have my guitar plugged in to the mic port, and it's awesome to watch it react to my playing. Bravo! [alert admin]

1.6.4 a step backwards

Sizzlingkeys is not loading properly on login and several floater bugs cause it to disappear and go out of proportion. My biggest problem is that I used to be able to set the prefs so that the floater came up when I initiated actions with SIzzlingkeys, but not on song changes or rating changes done without SIzzlingkeys. I hate having that flaoter jsut pop up all the time, but when I change songs, I like watching the floater to see what songs I'm skipping over. Is there a way I can download an older version? Sizzlingkeys is basically useless to me until those bugs are fixed, but I love the app. [alert admin]

iAlert 4.0 (Mac OS X)

4.0 doesnt work at all

The new version doesn't work at all. I don't know what to do without a readme. I uninstalled the old iAlert and everything first, but iAlert just sits there when I try to open it. [alert admin]

iChatStatus 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)

Good, but needs work

This is a great app, but it takes too much work to go in and add custom messages or turn iChatStatus on/off. My biggest complaint is that it cuts off my status message after 15 characters or so. I changed the script myself to put the song title first, but most of the time the artist name is cut off. This seems like a really dumb problem to have in a "1.2" product. SO fix that and you'll have a killer app on your hands. [alert admin]

PlayPod 0.3.3 (Mac OS X)

It's downloading random/unsubscribed podcasts!

First, this app rocks. Very nice. I like the fact that it integrates so well with iTunes, so I enabled auto-downloading. I come back from class, plug in my ipod, and everything syncs up because of the way I have my smart playlists setup. My major problem right now is that the app is downloading totally random podcasts that I have not ever subscribed to. Any clues? A couple other suggestions: -- a database of podcasts, like NetNewsWire has in their 'sites' drawer' -- force genre change in app preferences (it doesnt always change it to 'Podcast') --better feed sorting in left bar very very nice app! NewsFire 0.91 (Mac OS X)

Good, but too expensive

This is a great app, but not worth 20 bucks. Integrate podcast downloading and iTunes, offer more customizeable integration with safari (a click in the main feed view goes straight to the website), and refine the code so the app isnt pulling up feeds i've already read, then we'll talk. Bloody ace!

It works great with dotMac. In your Finder preferences, make sure your iDisk is added to your sidebar. With iDisk auto-syncing turned on, it is treated as any other volume on your computer. I do all my podcast publishing with files on my dotMac account.
