FastBrowser 4.2.0 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
so I haven't given this a star rating. However I won't try it either. This doesn't seem to be a real browser, just an add on to Internet Explorer. To make matters worse it also is a crippled version of a full product. Just a teaser for the $29.95 version and I won't pay that for a browser. [alert admin]

Stay Live 2.6 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
It does a similar job to a programme called Connection Keeper which is also free. The shareware alternative Stay Connected is a far superior programme despite the bugs it has in its dialler system. As a free programme I must rate this highly as it does its job well enough. [alert admin]

Fresh Diagnose 2.50 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
It is saddled with a misleading name, it does not have any repair facility as one might expect from a diagnosis. This is not worth the trouble of downloading for the minor amount of info. it provides. Belarc Adviser is better at this too. [alert admin]

is always hard to beat K Meleon and Opera, but this has me interested. I too don't accept Chris Stevensons findings. I have used previous versions of Mozilla and though they have had no major problems my favorites remain as stated. However I still wish to give Mozilla another go. The problem is that the URL keeps being reported as not found. I will persevere as open source software should ALWAYS be supported. On the basis of my findings on prev. versions I rate this one highly, I will return here for a proper review later. [alert admin]

Weatherbug 3.0 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
another application that is Us only. It is the world wide web you know. Also a pity version tracker does not warn non US based subscribers of such program limitations rather than waste our time with such limited software [alert admin]

WebRoot's Window Washer 4.1 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
that you come across such quality product as this. The last version was 5 star anyway, this is even better. It gives me on average 50meg back each time I run it. It also contains as standard many options that in the apst I have had to get by running numerous little stand alone programmes. The level of integration and performance are astonishing. Get this one, you won't regret it. [alert admin]

as all the bits of this are well provided for by many bits of freeware. So why pay $37? Hypertrace is abetter tracer too. Skylam is a better call monitor and there are several on line cost monitoring progs. [alert admin]
