TimeScroller 1.5 (Mac OS X)
I live in Singapore but call the US and Europe often - with this widget I can quickly know what time it is there, and also with the nifty scroll into the future feature I can plan phone calls that are 14 time zones away without doing the math in my head (a major plus). The color alerts are useful as well. I have used Jetclock in the past, but that seems to be no longer supported. [alert admin]

FoldersSynchronizer 3.6.3 (Mac OS X)
I use FoldersSynchronizer to keep my data and work files synchronized between my office iMac and a 4 gb USB drive - I sync at work several times a day, then sync between my USB drive and laptop at home if I need to do work at home. I had some problems in prior versions with sync of packages, but this appears to have been resolved with the recent upgrade. Over the past six + months it has worked reliably and consistently and keeps my life better organized. With the most recent upgrade it also seems to run much faster. For my needs, it runs great. The documentation is quirky but when I had my problem with packages got fast feedback from the developer. [alert admin]

MrClean 1.7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Used it to remove duplicated PDF files - it found most. It failed on files that had slightly different names and modification/creation dates (for example, if file NAME was file NAME 1, and it was duplicated a day after it was created.) SO while there is room for improvement, in 18 seconds it cleared up a 100 Mb of hard drive space and removed duplicate files. I would happily use again. Worked on my Intel Core Duo MacBook just fine. Papers 1.0b1 (Mac OS X)
I can already see how useful this will be to collect the pdf files scattered throughout my computer. Clearly needs optimizing and fixing links. May be too early to charge for, but it will be a great companion (and replacement?) to an aging and ailing Endnotes. [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 2.1.1832.0 (Mac OS X)
I needed Windows to run a few financial applications not available for the Mac. Tried to install Windows XP on the new iMac using Boot Camp - and no go on three tries. So I bailed and switched. Parallels Desktop beta 2.1 worked well the first time, and was up and running Windows apps at high speed within an hour. It did steal the IP address from other home computers on the wireless network, and disrupted host printer connections somehow. Hopefully these bugs will be worked out before the final release. Overall very positive experience. [alert admin]

Monolingual 1.3.2 (Mac OS X)
read the directions, then run. Worked great - amazing where all those multitude of languages are hidden. Opened up more than 1 gb. More documentation on features beyond languages would be useful. [alert admin]

I have just started to use Lineform 1.5 for the same purpose; assembling labeled figure for scientific publication.(Since I used Canvas before, and find AI far too complex for this simple task. What figure editor do you use for images - Did you stick with Photoshop, or find a good replacement?
