Little Snitch 1.2.2 (Mac OS X)

Great little app

Does exactly what it says, with minimum fuss and good configurability. Well worth the money. [alert admin]

DJ-1800 2.2.1 (Mac OS X)

Check out the base spec

Hi Mikis, Just wanted to say, the base recommended spec for DJ-1800 2.2.1 is an 800Mhz G3, G4 or G5 or better with at least 256Mhz memory, so it's not too surprising that you might have problems with a 400Mhz computer :-) BTW, v2.2 of DJ-1800 did indeed include some serious audio stability improvements, which mean that audio dropouts are a thing of the past in DJ-1800 when using a machine which matches the recommended spec. We agree that it's the single most important thing in DJing. One final thing: one of the benefits of DJ-1800 using QuickTime is that it allows you to play iTunes Music Store files right in DJ-1800, something which Traktor can't do. Thanks for taking the time to give the feedback - I'd also agree that people should try all the tools out there, and see what works for them :-) Dave. [alert admin]

DJ-1800 2.1 (Mac OS X)

Updates in v2.1

Hi, Just wanted to say that the features mentioned below (precise pitch adjustment via keyboard, and multi-channel output devices) are included in v2.1, just released :-) [alert admin]

DJ-1800 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Those shortcomings...

Hi Stormchild, Glad to hear you like some parts of DJ-1800! Interestingly, the two main things that are missing for you (very precise pitch shifting, and multiple outputs on one device) are coming in v2.1 in the not too distant future. They're long-standing wish list items, but we wanted to get v2.0 out with all of its improvements first. The good news is that as ever, v2.1 will be a free upgrade for all registered users :-) [alert admin]

Disco and DJ-1800 has performance problems, use Traktor beatport!

Hi Mikis, DJ-1800 2.2.1's base spec is an 800Mhz G3, G4 or G5 or better with at least 256Mhz memory, so it's not too surprising that you might have problems with a 400Mhz computer :-) The same probably goes for Disco too. Dave.
