iSnip 1.4 (Mac OS X)
Hi iSnip users, iSnip 2 is currently in the early stages of development. I've decided to rewrite the entire thing to take more advantage of some of the tools provided in the OS (CoreData being one of them), so it's "back to the drawing board." But yes, iSnip 2 is forthcoming (when, I don't know... I do have school and a job to worry about first). Thanks, Dave DeLong [alert admin]

iSnip 1.4 (Mac OS X)
iSnip development has currently been put on hold. Yes, the site has expired. Yes our paypal donation account has been discontinued and we are currently not accepting donations. No, we will not share the source. Yes, we may possibly make an iSnip 2 as a universal binary. Currently (as far as I know), all plans to release a new version of iSnip are on hold until August of 2007, which is when I return from being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Until then, you'll just have to keep thinking of ways we can improve iSnip, then tell us in about a year. Dave DeLong [alert admin]

MovieGallery 1.0 (Mac OS X)
This is nothing more than an expensive iVideo rip off. Same features, same implementation, more expensive. [alert admin]

ChiliSafe 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Wow, this is pretty good. I've tried many password database programs, like Mikey, Steel, and Wallet. ChiliSafe is very nice in that it's free, and has many nice features. Hopefully after government inspection, we can get secure encryption soon. [alert admin]

What the heck is up with that interface man? That's one of the worst interfaces I've ever seen! It's slow, you can't even make the window bigger for your viewing pleasure, and the only thing I saw that adhered to the Apple HIG was that you had a pushbutton with a caption the correct size. Please, try to use REALbasic in a way that it's actually MEANT to be used. Not like this piece of ... software? I wouldn't call it that.... Plague? It most certainly is. [alert admin]

- Nice simple app, I would like some sort of readout as to what "Clean" has done to the file. It would also be nice if a php functions list was added to allow quick insertion of basic php functions. If it's going to be a php-only application, it may as well be truely targeted for php development. As it is, it's jsut a basic text editor with a little eye candy.
"Clean" strips out all whitespace…

<i>would like to use it to insert text when i need it, but NOT save every file i cut& paste...</i> If I understand what you're requesting, you can choose "Preferences" from the iSnip menu, then check "Disable Clipboard History". This turns off the auto-logging of everything that passes through the clipboard. HTH, Dave DeLong

It can't be moved because Apple does not allow Cocoa developers to access the MenuExtra framework. We must be satisfied with the StatusItem framework. Only MenuExtras can be moved, and since we can't use it (we have no idea how it works, the classes, etc), you can't move iSnip. Sorry. Dave DeLong

Multiple clipboards? Isn't that what the app IS, when it comes right down to it? All the clipboards you could ever want.... Dave DeLong

This is not actually a Daveware product, per say. Austin and I tried creating a new VT account to post iSnip under, but we were unable to log in to that account, so iSnip was posted under my Daveware name. I just don't want to steal the limelight, when most of the credit goes to Austin Sarner. :-) Cheers, Dave DeLong

What a short sided comment... It's not that the government is going to hack into your computer and steal all your password information. It's in case they find suspicious material floating around somewhere that they need to be able to crack. Frankly, I don't see a problem with this.

Yes, the "command drag" feature was only partially implemented and wasn't included in the documentation. However, it will be fully supported (including remembering tab positions and such) in the forthcoming update. The iTunes-won't-quit bug is also being ironed out. Thanks for your feedback! Dave DeLong
