netOctopus 4.2.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
We're running NetO 4.2.1 on 19 Quicksilver Dual 1-Gig boxes (OSX, 10.2.6) and have 3 workstations where NetO will not run properly--as described by Jlussow. These machines are all CC-Clones of one another, same hardware config on all. On three the installer installs the client, however, these G4s never show to the Admininstrator. We've spent a ton of time trying to get these boxes to behave. This is all within a single subnet. Anyone know if installing as root will fix this? That's the only suggestion we've received to solve this issue. Have tried this using console a couple of times but the installer refuses to run except in the GUI. Also, anyone know how to get the snmp NIB to install without an error? There's no documentation for this component. Daniel [alert admin]
