AstroGrav 1.7 (Mac OS X)
. . . is Astrograv crashing. The next sound is the trash being emptied. [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 2.1.3 (Mac OS X)
LCC Installer ALSO INSTALLS UNSANITY'S APPLICATION ENHANCER! (APE) This causes our problem with LCC freezing. After removing APE, the Control Panel works normally and all my programmable keys work on my keyboard. The removal instructions are <a>href = "http://softwaretrenches.com/2006/08/removing_unsanitys_application.html">HERE</a>. --Dan [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 2.1.3 (Mac OS X)
I agree 100%. Logitech makes the best products, but their Control Panel Freezes and none of the special keys on my my Logitech Wireless Keyboard work. I've worked with their help desk for weeks and they finally gave up and quit replying. And now my MX 1000 has developed a left-click stutter. (Sigh!) I won't be recommending Logitech any more and that's a shame. --Dan Robinson [alert admin]

Clan Lord 4.75 (Mac OS X)
The graphics do not show Delta Tao well. I'd pay for it if it were more polished. I'm still waiting for Strategic Conquest in OS X, too. Knotty [alert admin]

FontVista X 3.5 (Mac OS X)
I wanted FontVista to work. I really did. I have over ten gigabytes in my Font Resource Folder. Linotype Font Explorer says 10,000+ By the time FontVista got to 3,000 fonts, it had slowed to a crawl. Cancel. Lets Drop subfolders in. With the second folder, 1,400 fonts. Print to pdf. Froze at page 2 Forget it. [alert admin]

Chipmunk Basic 3.6.0b1 (Mac OS X)
I had a huge 28,000-record data base to convert. After making other programs try to manipulate the data, I complained that back on my old Apple ][ I would have been done by now. Then I remembered Chipmunk Basic. In a half hour, I had written the program in Chipmunk Basic . . . set it to run . . . and 15 seconds later, it had gone through all the records flawlessly. Thanks, --Dan [alert admin]

iDo Script Scheduler 1.5b9 (Mac OS 9)
software. I use it to trigger an update script on 60 Macs every night. It's worked flawlessly (currently version 1.1.1) for two years. [alert admin]

Adobe PageMaker 7.0 (Mac OS 9)
simple. If you're doing high end color, use Quark. If you're doing anything else, use PageMaker. If PageMaker louses up the fonts, use InDesign. --Dan [alert admin]

don't buy this program. The only people who seem to like it are the service bureaus and printers who only need to open a file and print it. If I need to manipulate or create, give me PageMaker or InDesign. This version is no great improvement on QXP 3.3.2. As a consultant, maybe I shouldn't complain. If some people used something else, I wouldn't get so many calls. [alert admin]

Iomega Quik Floppy Copy 1.0 (Mac OS 9)
do you guys want for free? It's a little app that does what it says. All you gotta do is keep feeding it floppies. Too bad it's not a spelling tutor. Then it would REALLY be useful for you. [alert admin]
