Mail Unread Menu 3.0 (Mac OS X)
Love the new interface etc - but this won't do the one thing it has to in Tiger - report the arrival of new mail - have reverted to 2.6. [alert admin]

DVDxDV 1.068 (Mac OS X)
Pathetic - tried it on two different machines. There's no indication as to the lengths of any segment - and they won't play - so if you have 14 VOB files on A DVD, good luck finding the one with the movie in it. Not that it actually does much when you take the plunge and try to convert one of them - it gives you progress bar that doesn't move - ever. On the second machine it didn't even have the strength to get that far - it died trying to acquire the number of segments. And had to be force quit. Why can't anybody get this simple thing right? Well, Handbrake comes very close - it does everything right - except it only generates AVIs. Which is still infinitely better than the nothing that this thing gives you! [alert admin]

Tank World b.7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Has some beta glitches - but great interface. Desperately needs opposition tanks in Training Mode. This could be seriously awesome - but seeing as no-one else is networked yet, it be great to have something to shoot at! [alert admin]

Forty-Two DVD-MP Plus 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)
For all their protestations that this is Mac-friendly, Mac-like piece of software it's installation is anything but - things have to manually installed and then a small app puts more god-knows-what, god-knows where. But the real icing on the cake? When you've finally managed to install the bugger - it doens't work. Nice going guys. [alert admin]
