Adobe Flash Player 9.0.98.0 (Mac OS X)

wrong version number

Though this claims to be 9.0.98.0, the Adobe web page that claims to identify your Flash version reports 9.0.97.0.

This is on Leopard, Safari 3.0.4. It should also be mentioned that the main reason this has popped up so soon after the Leopard launch is to fix a file-upload problem in Flash. [alert admin]

OnyX 1.6.7 (Mac OS X)

delete /library/preferences/com.titanium.onyx.plist

just to confirm deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.titanium.onyx.plist fixes the lack of window on launch problem with 1.6.7 [alert admin]

ComicBookViewer 1.0b8 (Mac OS X)

only one small complaint

This program works quite well & the iTunes-esque editor (with auto-completion !) makes entering new fields a snap. I love the cover-thumbnail-as-Finder-icon, that's awesome. Also mapping Forward & Back in the viewer to the web browser defaults is also a good idea. Another nice feature is the ability to Hide various images in the comic file without affecting the comic file itself. The only thing that bothered me was when using the Info panel to make field edits: clicking Next abandoned the edits & moved to the next comic entry. The changes are only made permanent when OK is clicked which then gets rid of the Info window. It makes more sense to me to also commit the changes when Next/Previous is selected, otherwise the strength of the editor is weakened. Chris [alert admin]

Eavesdrop 0.5a1 (Mac OS X)

Unable to save capture

Works beautifully for me. Especially love the image decoding feature. Only flaw seems to be that I can't 'Save' or 'Save As' the capture. The error message that slides out is 'The document "Untitled" could not be saved as "Untitled"'. Same error no matter what filename/path is chosen. Otherwise the application works quite well. Gmail Checker 1.3 (Mac OS X)

redirect & login to https://mail.google.com/ broken

Checks for new messages properly & looks dandy but the click-to-redirect opens a new tab in Safari which then goes into a never-ending loop and never manages to either present a login page or my Inbox. It flips between https://www.google.com/accounts/.... https://mail.google.com/mail/.... It will apparently do this forever. Oddly enough if I stop this infinite loop & then reload the tab it works properly. It may in fact be a Safari problem [this is using Version 2.0 (412.2)]. [alert admin]

calendar font problem

wclock seems to be working fine for me under 10.3.3 but the font in the calendar appears to be too large, resulting in any two-digit days only displaying the first digit. it doesn't appear possible to resize the window horizontally to make the second number visible. i'm not sure where it's getting it's font information from, perhaps system settings, but i'm not particularly interested in changing any systemwide settings for a specific app. the other 'bug' appears to be in the font displaying characteristics, the AA of the fonts isn't clean making them look rough & there appears to be clipping on the left edge of the left-most character depending on which font is chosen (it's clearly visible with fonts like Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, Garamond). as an additional oddity it seems to occupy 1-2% CPU continuously, I'm not sure what it's doing, perhaps this is standard for other menubar apps. redirect & login to https://mail.google.com/ broken

Update: this isn't a problem with the widget, it appears to be a problem with PithHelmet. Removing PithHelmet or reloading without filtering appears to allow the redirect to work. Now if I could just figure out how to make PithHelmet & Gmail checker play nicely together...
