Final Draft 7 0.0.54 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
with gpercy & others, I'd love to support this program I've been using since the stone age, (back when cut & paste meant exactly that); but amongst a list of other complaints, paramount is that actually having to stare at the UI for more than a nonosecond is infuriating. I've got a very attractive computer here, I'd give anything to have an attractive screenwriting program to go along with it. On the other hand, must give cudos where they're due - these last few versions are working better, so at least the good folks at FD are trying to validate their hefty entry fee, and, as has been noticed, there doesn't seem to be anybody else stepping up to the plate in the immediate future... Here/fingers crossed. [alert admin]

Final Draft 7.0.0.43 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
After thre days of trying, finally, painfully slowly downloaded update - (thirteen megs taking almost five minutes). Maybe is right; maybe FD is in trouble and about to call it quits. I've got to admit, despite the quality issues and having to fork over pretty substantial cash in upgrades the last few years - I'd be sorry to see that happen I've been with them so long now it's almost like seeing a good buddy go through bad times. Come on FD, pull it together - if you do I think you'll find we all still love you... Hugs and kisses... [alert admin]

Final Draft 7.0.0.43 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Broken link - Can't download...
and at this point don't know that I even care. Been writing a manuscript recently and can't believe I'm saying what a pleasure it is to work in Microsoft Word instead of Final Draft. [alert admin]

Cocktail 3.4.9 (Mac OS X)
After install ran Cocktail pilot, Cache out X, then Key Chain First Aid. Seven minutes after install no need to log in, no key chain permissions nonsence - GUI popped right up. Love this utility - already gave a high-five. [alert admin]

Final Draft 7.0.0.40 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
The fact that Screenstyle, a Final Draft re-seller, would post a five star rating for this product is absolutely the most unscrupulous and shameless thing I think I've ever seen on this site, and I've seen some lu-lu's. I won't even get into what I think about the product and its slow degeneration over the years - all I'll say is that there's a hell of an area of opportunity for savvy individuals if they were to create a decent screenwriting program for the ever-expanding market out there. TechTool Pro 4.0.2 (Mac OS X)
As a long-time user of TTP I must say I was really looking forward to V4, but upon first use problems became inherant from multiple areas - slow, slow, slow, being the first, (annoying, considering speed was a advertizing point by M-Mat). However, as has been noted in multiple reviews, instability, (the last thing one wants in a maintenance program), runs amock through this app. Thirdly, and most frustratingly, Tech-support is non-exsistant and when I finally got them, Arrogant and rude - honestly, who needs that? TTP is off my hard-drive forever and I will never buy another M-Mat product again. Stupid M-Mat, don't you realize getting the cutomer is the hard part?... After many years and hundreds of dollars spent on your products all I have to say is; See ya'. [alert admin]

I'm finding VT Pro's performance seems to be improving by the day - this leads me to beleive Ladd and the VT group are hard at work on the mother-ship. Good job guys, this essential tool just keeps getting better. [alert admin]

Really big improvement on an essential application. Also, great development and tech support from Ladd and the group. [alert admin]

VersionTracker Pro 3.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Much better. Still room for improvement, but back to the responsiveness of the old VT with all the new goodies. Ticker works properly now as well. [alert admin]
