SoundSource 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Small Niche Application

I've always felt that some of the most important yet overlooked development efforts are those for small, niche freeware. When they are done well, they are treasures that enhance the user experience. This is such a treasure. Thanks for the hard work it took to make this product and for keeping it free for the masses. The software works perfectly and as advertised. [alert admin]

Helios 1.4.0 (Mac OS X)

Best. Screensaver. Ever.

I got this Screen Saver whenever I got my new G4 (about a year ago) to show off my new video card, and this has never, ever failed to impress. Everyone who sees it is amazed by it. [alert admin]

Poisoned 0.494 (Mac OS X)

Best P2P Mac App Yet

The only problem I've had with Posioned is that it will unexpectedly quit sometimes when cancelling downloads. But other than that, It's a great application. It's interface is very clean, and it yields more results than any of the other Mac P2P clients I've tried. [alert admin]

mlMac 0.5 (Mac OS X)

Finally!

Kazaa for the Mac. In Cocoa to boot! They could use a few new pictures for the buttons, I almost quit out of the program when I meant to be cancelling downloads. But overall, I've had no problems downloading, I've managed to find a wide variety of stuff, and all of it's been transferring at a decent clip. [alert admin]

Phoenix X 1.5.2 (Mac OS X)

It should be…

downloading as an application now, not a document. (Well an application inside a Disk Image, anyway). ~Chris, Developer of Phoenix [alert admin]

Hmm

1) For those of us with older computers, we either can't use Photobooth or if we can run it, it runs amazingly slowly. Maybe this software isn't for you.
