Particles 0.7b (Mac OS X)
As a screensaver itself it's cool, but not tremendously special. However, it's the first screensaver I've found that treats my three monitors as one, and for that I give you serious kudos. Well done! [alert admin]

A while back I was brainstorming how an IRC client would look if Apple were to make it. This is very close to the ideas I came up with. Kudos to the developer. The iChat style interface is nice, especially the chat output, but I cant help but feel that this would work better as standard aqua rather then metal. I had quite a few problems getting it to connect. The server kept complaining that my username was invalid. It finally worked after I changed my nick to all lowercase. Also couldn't figure out how to join a channel from the interface, clicking Add Channel created a blank entry, with no way to edit it. I finally just did it via the command line. Really like the userlist, altho the red on operators could stand to be brighter. Nice work on the channel toolbar too. Despite some chinks, it's a great UI for newbies, but power users might get a little lost. [alert admin]

Dock-It 1.5 (Mac OS X)
I've been using dock-it for some time now, it's one of the few programs I just cant seem to be without. The 1.5 update is great, I've now got my docks set to be almost completely transparent. I only have two issues: 1) The Medium icons option doesn't scale very well, the icons get all jagged. 2) It would be nice if I could control where the Dock picture goes, or even if the dock should have one. It's an extra icon that I don't really want taking up screen space, especially since it shows up on every dock. Control-clicking on the dock gives the same options, so it's somewhat superfluous. I've gotten around that limitation by setting the icon to use a transparent tiff file, but the dock background still draws in that area. It would also be kinda cool if we could put in separators between dock items. [alert admin]

EverQuest 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Requirements are a wee bit too steep for me, but it sounds impressive. Lets just hope Sony put enough time into the QA process for this thing. [alert admin]

Tundra IRC 0.2 (Mac OS X)
Works now, I can connect to a channel. Still no features tho, just a bare bones irc client. It's kinda like running epic, but with the ability to switch windows via a GUI. [alert admin]

Tundra IRC 0.1 (Mac OS X)
Does what I'd expect from a 0.1 release (personally I never would have released it in this condition). Interface is absolutely bare bones, didn't even open a channel window when I joined, didn't output channel text, and I had to use /msg to send any text to said channel. Runs VERY fast, and the file size can't be beat. I've considered writing a client in java before, but never got around to actually doing it. Don't understand the authors statement about a lack of IRC clients on OSX, there's got to be at least 6, several which offer this kind of interface. If they mean a java client, they're absolutely right, and this could certaintly fill a niche in that regard. Hope to see this one grow. [alert admin]

AkwaIRC 0.11a (Mac OS X)
but needs work. Interface is extreemly Ircle based. Noticed a couple of scarry points with how it connects to networks and channels, but I'm sure those will get ironed out over time. Love the window translucency [alert admin]

I think your review is on the wrong program... SIB has no floating pallets, it's just one window for the view listing.

And do I receive a crash report? Nope People love to complain about problems, but when it comes to helping to fix them all they do is whine and complain.

A classic case of someone who doesn't read the documentation. 1) Minerva is a restructuring of AthenaIRC, which is already over five years old. 2) The whole point of Minerva is that it DOESN'T have all the features Snak sports. It's designed to be a focused and user friendly IRC client for people who just want to chat, and don't need bells and whistles. Your statement is like comparing a Ford Focus to a Winnebago.

Wow, it shouldn't be THAT bad. It's mostly just a slow down when running on early G4s and G3s, and only when it has to share with something processor intensive like burning a CD or playing a DivX. The problem also only occurs in the main input field, you should have no problems entering text into the preferences dialogs. If you are, then that is definitely an unknown bug, and I'd appreciate…

I really don't think it's fair to compair a one week old pre-1.0 irc client with the 4 year old Snak or the nearly decade old feature bloated Ircle. For crying out loud, show some fairness to the guy.
