NetNewsWire 3.1 (Mac OS X)
Nice that it’s now freeware, but...
A bit of a slap in the face for those of us who had to pay for the 2.0.1 version. [alert admin]

Ex Cues 3.0.10 (Mac OS X)
This application really fills a need for theatre groups on a tight budgets. Usually I've found it necessary to place all audio sfx into QT movies, open them all and use the QT Movie Players to start/stop each sound. This can be a real pain. Enter Ex Cues which allow up to 10 tracks per scene and up to 100 scenes which can cover your entire production. It also has a Cue List for each scene and allows you to control Fadeo-in/out time, looping certain sounds and more. The developer is extremely responsive, pleasant and easy to work with. I notified him a a small bug in 3.0.9 and within a very short time received a upgrade that fixed the problem. I'd highly recommend this product for any Community Theatre that can't afford the very expensive PC alternate programs out there. This application, coupled with a basic inexpensive sound editing program like Amadeus Pro, can take care of just about all your production audio needs. [alert admin]

PageSender 4.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Been using PageSender for a long time and it just keeps getting better. Never had any problems. Am using it on a PPC, OS 10.4.9 with Entourage and love the Spam filtering. I used to get several spam faxes a day, you know the type: "Low Mortgage", etc. Calling the 'remove fax' numbers was a waste of time. Now, I only see them once...add them to the spam list and they're gone. Love it! [alert admin]

info.xhead 1.3 (Mac OS X)
Excellent software. Very customizable. Tech support responded quickly to questions and more importantly, they don't treat you like you're a stupid computer illiterate for asking a question. Does what it says and more. [alert admin]

GraphicConverter X 5.9.5 (Mac OS X)
This program combines so many great features, it's hard to enumerate them! If you have a couple hundred graphic files that need to be renamed, this does is better than most and it's really easy. Need to crop/scale? Very easy! I've used GC since it was OS 9 only, and it just keeps getting better. [alert admin]

Apple iLife '06 (Mac OS X)
I've read the Macfixit article about the 'new' features and really question whether it's worth forking over ANOTHER $79. [alert admin]

Rember 0.3.1b (Mac OS X)
Interesting utility, but if a problem shows up in the log (flip failure at some imcomprehensible address) there's no explanation of what exactly this means in terms of operational significance nor any advice as to what steps should be taken to correct the problem. This is like hooking your car up to a diagnostic machine and having the machine declare "Your car has a problem". Nice to know, but useless for us non-mechanics. For all I know, the car may need windshield washer fluid or the transmission is about to drop out. Without some fairly idiot-proof documentation explaining the terminology and significance of the test results (especially if everything is not 'OK', the vast majority of us will not find this useful. Well, they fixed it. Was able to download this AM by going through the process again...now, I'd just hope I'm not billed twice...

Same problem. It bothers me a lot to enter all my info, including credit card to purchace the upgrade, hit the submit and get a page reading: Erreur de compilation Microsoft VBScript error '800a0411' Redéfinition de nom D:\INTEGO\BUYNOW\../includes/serialNosNBX4.asp, line 280 dim adoConn ----^ I'm guessing it didn't go through since I've gotten no download or confirmations. I've reported it to Intego. I hate sloppy programming.
