Machinarium 1.0 (Mac OS X)
This game is amazing. Some of the puzzles are lifted from MYST, but that is OK. The thought behind the level design and the uniqueness of the environment make this game an instant classic. It is hard, but there is a built in walk-through. Actually, i believe the game would be unsolvable without it. Truly a must have for any puzzle game fanatic. Ran great on my G5 with OS 10.4. Star Defender 4 1.11 (Mac OS X)
Fails to launch on either of my G5 machines, using OS 10.4. Is it a permissions issue? [alert admin]

DivX 5.2.1 (Mac OS X)
There is a free DivX alternative
Since this product does not work with OS 10.4, I tried the quicktime extension provided by Toast. It too did not play some of my DivX movies. So I went to http://labs.divx.com and installed the beta from Divx Fusion. It works great. [alert admin]

Jammin' Racer 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
This is the game I had hoped Pangea's Cro-Mag Rally would be. Cro-Mag had poor car handling. In JammingRacer, controls are fine. Graphics are almost commercial quality. Huge variety of car appearances, although I do not think performance varies with car selection. <p> If you have a child under 10 (or are an adult who likes arcade fun), download this game! Azureus BitTorrent Client 2.2.0.0 (Mac OS X)
Version 2.2.0.0 functions well, but I did notice a big slowdown on my dual G4 800 MHz after Azureus had been running continously for about 3 days. Launching the Activity Monitor answered the question. Azureus was consuming 100% of one of the CPUs. And at a time when it was only uploading 2 torrents. [alert admin]

Vidi 0.4.4d7 (Mac OS X)
This is a simple and highly valued program. I use it as part of my home-made TiVo system. The analog-to-digital converter is a Dazzle Hollywood bridge. Vidi is used to record a movie at a set time. Once a movie is captured onto the hard drive, I simply Import the footage into iMovie. From there, commercials can be easily removed. [alert admin]

Meteorologist 1.4.0b2 (Mac OS X)
Version 1.3 worked well. Just upgraded to 1.4.0b2, and it quits a few seconds after launching. Using OS 10.3.3. [alert admin]

NASCAR Racing 2003 1.2.8 (Mac OS X)
Version 1.0 plays great. Version 1.2.8 crashes on the options screen every time. Beware upgrade. [alert admin]
