SimpleChord 2.0 (Mac OS X)
For guitar player, try Guitar Shed. It's listed on here and works really well. The chord parrt is being continually updated and growing so it's getting more useful everyday. No midi support in it yet, but hopefully soon (hint hint!). I think it's the best guitar app out there right now by a longshot. [alert admin]

SWF 'n Slide 1.100 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
So far so good. A few problems, but overall a great program. Its nice to FINALLY have an alternative to using Swish on VPC. Not the optimal solution. Keep it comming guys great job so far!!! [alert admin]

Guitar Tuner 5.0 (Mac OS X)
This tuner was very well done back in the OS 9 days. But now with all of the other OSX tuners available, at much better prices I must add, this just doesn't cut it anymore. Besides the responsiveness and accuracy seems to pale in comparison with its older OS9 version. Much too little, MUCH too late. Sorry guys. [alert admin]

Mouse Distance Measurer 2.4 (Mac OS X)
Come on guys, it's not that bad. Sure, it's not the most *useful* app out there, but it's kinda neat - something new for sure. Works as advertised. Not sure if I'd pay for it, but it's a neat little silly concept anyhow. [alert admin]

PulpFiction 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I have lots of subscriptions, and when getting new articles, it always shows MySQL errors (popup after popup) and locks up needing a forcequit. Unusable as is - but looks promising if this gets worked out. [alert admin]

QuakeBar 0.80 (Mac OS X)
Much quicker for us So. Californians to lookup those late-night tremors than going to CalTech's site. Haven't had a quake lately to try it on...and kinda hope we won't...but I want to try it :) [alert admin]

Unreal Tournament 2004 3236 (Mac OS X)
Agreed - Update process flawed
I agree with the poster below me. For such a major game, their updating process is quite flawed and hard to track. Some sites post the update (Which is obviously not their fault...but...), their own site posts previous versions which doesn't make sense. Sometimes updates are pulled from their servers randomly, etc. Things need to get more reliable. [alert admin]

ImageBrowser 1.2 (Mac OS X)
I agree, the name should probably be changed. I thought it was the new Canon upgrade as well. Better to do those name changes sooner than later. [alert admin]

Startup Chime Stopper 1.3 (Mac OS X)
Just plug in an empty phono jack into your headphone port. wa-la. all fixed! [alert admin]

Try downloading their .zip version. its on their website: http://www.astoundit.com/downloads/kidcreate/index.html You must be using an older browser or something because thats a problem with any program that uses the OSX dmg format. try the zip version and your browser should download it.

Couldn't agree with you more. this is the ONLY OS X app that has come out to offer such a huge set of tools for guitarists and even other kinds of musicians It's absolutely great to see this kind of software and level of quality from a smaller vendor. I think this vendor Astoundit Software is something to be watched for sure, my guess is they are working on a ton of other cool X…
