JollysFastVNC 0.84 (Mac OS X)
I'm on a PowerBook G4 and trying to connect to a Mac mini running Apple Remote Desktop (10.4), but JollysFastVNC just kept locking up when attempting to connect. The settings are also confusing, as it doesn't appear to have a field to enter the password. Maybe it asks that during connection time, but I was never asked. Just got the beachball of death. Does JollysFastVNC not work with ARD? [alert admin]

ChangeMAC 1.0 (Mac OS X)
It would be better to utilize a system-provided password dialog. The one you're currently using doesn't feel trustworthy. There also should be some visual confirmation on whether changing the MAC address was successful or not. [alert admin]

iScroll2 0.28 (Mac OS X)
I had 0.26 installed for a long time without any problems. I decided to upgrade to 0.28, which apparently "fixes a problem with saving user defaults between restarts". Lo and behold, when I restart, all of my user defaults are reset, not just for iScroll. Not cool at all. [alert admin]

Before I download and install your software on my computer, can you please clear up some confusion? 1) does your software really delete my personal files if your software detects that I'm using a pirated key? Would there ever be a chance of your software making a mistake? 2) if you software does delete files, how does it decide what to delete? 3) how do we contact you directly? [alert admin]

Jumped from version 1.0 to version 3.0 in less than a month, to what can only be seen as bug fixes. If that isn't messing with the mind, I don't know what is. :-) [alert admin]

KeyCastr 0.7.2 (Mac OS X)
As simple as this app is, it's almost too simple. I don't understand how to get it to work. Other points for developer: - the resizing of the Preferences window is slower than normal... did you write your own code for this? - some of the text and controls used in the Preferences window are smaller than they should be. The "mini" controls shouldn't be used there. [alert admin]

BackityMac 1.2 (Mac OS X)
Time seems to be spent on creating a "unique" interface, without using the standard interface controls provided by OS X. I don't understand this, especially when more time is needed for solving other issues. Creating a unique look is not going to attract users, it's only going to make the app feel like an outsider, third-party hack. [alert admin]

Counterpoint 1.1 (Mac OS X)
I just tried this app. It's got a great icon, a simple design, and v1.1 adds some nice touches, such as icons (from iTunes 7) to the playlist menu. It's actually really challenging. Suggestion: have a "album art" mode where the user could click on album art that represents some playing music. I suppose this means that no more than one song from any given album can be selected at once. [alert admin]

BezierPrimer 1.2 (Mac OS X)
Some people complained about the name of this product, so it appears to be re-released under a new name and version number, but there's no list of what else has changed. What's going on? Please also provide screenshots. [alert admin]

AbleFtp 7.0.8 (Mac OS X)
I've tried out two versions of this program to see if it's improved from one version to the next, and it's clear the developer has very little understanding of the Mac platform and what Mac users expect from an application. Save yourself some time and find another FTP app. [alert admin]

I've had good/bad communications with the developer. I think he's just too busy, and probably rolling in the money to care much about one or two (hundred) lowly users are running into. For example, my Acquisition license stopped working and it was a very painful process to get that corrected. To thank him, I purchased another license anyway. Then that license stopped working. Two life-time licenses, and neither one works. Guess that's the price of…

7.0.1 fixes some problems but still AVOID itunes 7 at ALL COSTS
Well, 7.0.2 is out, so give it a try. iTunes has worked flawlessly for me on multiple computers. Don't be so quick to judge the software itself. There's lots of factors to consider.

Authentication is only required when files are being stored or modified in restricted areas of your system. Anything within your Home folder is, by default, open to you without requiring additional privileges. You can also install applications into the Applications folder without a password, as an example.

If you read the release notes, clearly listed on this page, they say the dial pad is on the Call window. Relax.

Exactly. Maybe 10.3's Disk Utility doesn't have that capability, but I'd be surprised if it didn't. I never tried.

Each song can be burned an unlimited number of times. The burn restriction is 7 times of a given playlist, which is defined by the list and order of songs. Changing even one song resets the limit.
