Slavjanskij 2.5 (Mac OS X)

Slavic-QWERTY

Slavic-QWERTY package is now available. For entering old glyphs such as YAT', YUS', TITLO etc. for use in historical works and manuscripts, as well as for transliterated Old Slavonic. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22006 [alert admin]

Slavic-QWERTY 1.2 (Mac OS X)

Re: a good idea

The point was to provide a way to enter old glyphs such as YAT', YUS', TITLO etc. for use in historical works and manuscripts, as well as for transliterated Old Slavonic, as may be necessary. The inclusion of a modern keyboard is merely an addition to this - and it too is different enough from the available free products. [alert admin]

iText X 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Carbon App

Since this is not a Coco app, the support for unicode is inherently limited. Not all characters can be entered. Therefore, for serious unicode and multi-lingual work, one must stick with coco apps. [alert admin]

cocoAspell 1.4 (Mac OS X)

Works well.

New version works well with OS X 10.3, however compiling aspell dictionaries from source using the Advanced tab still does not produce any results. [alert admin]

cocoAspell 1.3 (Mac OS X)

No go on OS X 10.3

CocoAspell 1.3 crashes OS X 10.3 and it is not enough to just remove the service and preferencepane, you have to remove the hidden file ~/Library/Preferences/.GlobalPreferences.plist to get rid of the bug.

To Author: Take a look at the source code for the Hspell which does a good job as an OS X spelling service front end for the hspell. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/21384 and http://www.mitzpettel.com/software/hspell.html [alert admin]

AIM won't connect now

That's right. I only get ICQ, everything else just stays with "Connecting" and that's all it does.

a good idea...

Slavic-QWERTY addresses the needs of those who need to enter all kinds of Slavic texts from the most ancient to modern, including OCS. Something not addressed by other packages.

Fails in Mail.app

Read the docs on how to uninstall the old aspell using the terminal window. The uninstaller script is for uninstalling the *new* aspell. Right?
