Sony Ericsson iSync Plugins 1.6.1 (Mac OS X)

Great feedback corrected my misunderstanding!!

The developer contacted me directly after I left my review explaining how I couldn't activate the Address Book link with my w580i. Through e-mail I was shown how to link the two and all is working!! Thank you!! [alert admin]

Sony Ericsson iSync Plugins 1.6.0 (Mac OS X)

with new w580i

Works great with osx 10.4.10 & w580i from Rogers!! Though the address book add-on will not remove skype's hold on sending sms and calling from Address book (so save the extra £1.49 till this is fixed). [alert admin]

DVDpedia 1.6.2 (Mac OS X)

Quick Trick

For those who noticed that DVDPedia picks up customer reviews instead of movie descriptions here's a trick. Before you accept the movie selection delete the contents of the summary window then click "add". Sometimes it replaces this information with the summary of the movie. Other times it doesn't but either way you'll need to type in the description anyways. Found this trick as I was creating a 345 movie database. In truth this is my only gripe as well. If this was fixed I'd give this a 5 out of 5 star rating! Also discovered (actually the developer pointed out) that the .mac templates are editable. I use "TACO HTML Edit" to edit them adding links and refining templates to include what I need them to include. Great product that's on it's way to being the greatest. Definitely the best DVD movie cataloging program period. Heartily recommend buying it!!! [alert admin]

Acquisition 116.5 (Mac OS X)

Can't Connect Aswell!!

About 4 months ago I lost the ability to "Connect" using Acquisition. I attempted to remove the program and reinstall. I have done this with every version since. Unfortunately two emails sent asking for support from the developer went unanswered. I thought it was perhaps because I was using the program on my iBook and my PMG4 (never at the same time though) so I bought another license since the iBook continues to work. The new license didn't help my PMG4. Now that the FAQ section is removed it's like the developer is telling us "buy my stuff and your on your own". What kind of relationship is that? I firmly believe that if you pay for software you should be provided with some type of support. That's the fundamental difference between shareware and freeware!! [alert admin]

Acquisition 116.3 (Mac OS X)

Support is non existent!

Hello, I've paid for two licenses and feel that I have a right to basic technical support. I am unable to "connect" or view any content for the past three upgrades. I have written two letters to the developer over the past three weeks (Nov 19th and Nov 30th) and other than automated responses have received no feedback or assistance whatsoever. I feel this is unacceptable. If you are unable to provide support than you have no right to ask for payment for your product. I can understand with limited resources it may take time to respond but two emails on the same subject over three weeks and not a peep! Please! Dear potential customer; do yourself a favour. If you enjoy the product use it but don't waste your money paying for something that, if broken, you're stuck with. [alert admin]

Acquisition 113.2 (Mac OS X)

Installed version 113.2 now won't connect ...

This program has been great! Unfortunately the latest version now no longer connects. Instead it simply sits there with the red symbol and "Connecting ..." endlessly. Not sure if it was the Combo OS X 10.3.6 updater or the latest update of Acquisition that has caused this. Have attempted to trash preferences and have reinstalled program twice without any affect or success. Any ideas? [alert admin]

Blizzard StarCraft 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Awesome

I am amazed that Blizzard continues to support the Starcraft Franchise with these amazing updates. I wanted to install my games on my new iBook but thought I'd be out of luck. Then today with this new release I am able to continue to enjoy both Starcraft and Broodwars expansion pack on my new laptop! I will continue to purchase Blizzard games without hesitation because of the excellent piece of mind they provide through support!! [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2004 11.0 (Mac OS X)

Excellent

This is what Office X should have been. Support for long file names solid stability. MS turned out a fine product this time. Glad I waited and didn't buy Office X. Price is Excellent if you qualify for the Educational pricing (which is just about anyone who steps into a school on a regular basis). [alert admin]

Nanosaur 2 Hatchling 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Excellent ...

Played it for 5 minutes and was hooked. My son 27month old son loves the dinosaurs and spent over ten minutes on the phone with his aunt the next day telling her about the dinosaurs and "hit a tree and go boom" and that "daddy not good at flying". I'm sure that after the test round it won't be appropriate for him so that's where his watching will end :) It's such an easy game you get the hang of it quite quickly! BTW, thanks for the .Mac discount! What a great deal! [alert admin]

with new w580i

That's one perspective and I don't say I disagree with you. That being said the address book enabler has a script included to reset address book functionality so it's claiming to do just that. Remove another companies hold on the address book. It doesn't work for Skype. This extra £1.49 program claims to do something it can not (under specific circumstances true). That to me is a bug that needs to be addressed or a…
