iVideo 4.0 (Mac OS X)
Excellent support and a free upgrade for version 3 users!
Just wanted to post a quick note to say that I got in touch with Mike (the developer) and he quickly informed me that the new version is a FREE upgrade for existing purchasers. You can get your license by visiting the help section of the website and entering your e-mail address for lost licenses. If your e-mail address doesn't work just e-mail him and I'm sure he'll get it sorted in no time. Delighted with this FREE update and the developer's prompt and very-helpful e-mails. Looking forward to get my teeth into this very exciting new version. [alert admin]

iVideo 4.0 (Mac OS X)
Did i say 3 and a half years!?
Bought version 3 back in 2005 and the program didn't get any updates in almost 3 and a half years! I had written it off and put the original app down to a complete waste of money but here we are in 2009 and it looks like the developer has finally given the app the shave and haircut it so badly needed. Initial impressions are very good. It looks great. It's familiar iTunes like interface is well handled and instantly feels like a proper Apple app. The exporting features are nice and the multiple libraries are also sweet. I really hope the developer continues to support and update the app this time. I have to say I'm initially hesitant to purchase this. Yes it's only $20 BUT I'm a little disappointed the developer isn't offering some sort of upgrade path from version 3 after abandoning it all those years ago. Even just $5 off to say thanks to those who actually opened their wallets and were then let down for the next 3 and a half years! [alert admin]

CandyBar 3.0 (Mac OS X)
Now this is nice! I've read a lot of really negative comments over on MacUpdate about the upgrade pricing. All I have to say is CandyBar 3 is worth every penny! As a previous owner of CandyBar and Pixadex the $19 upgrade fee seemed more than fair. This translates to £10. I'd probably spend about the same on 3 pints of beer so I say an upgrade fee well spent! The interface is 'make your mouth water' beautiful and 'Float', the default set of system replacement icons and dock by Corey Marion are equally stunning... again worth the upgrade fee alone to get rid of the flat ugly Leopard icons. The replacement dock is worth a mention too. Fantastic stuff! Panic does it again! Superb. [alert admin]

TransparentDock 2.3.9 (Mac OS X)
One last update to support 10.4.11...
I'm not sure if the developer will read these comments but I'd sure appreciate one last revision to support 10.4.11 (with Safari 3 etc.) for old times sake. I purchased a license for Transparent Dock a while back and unfortunately I feel a little let down with the lack of support over the past few system updates. It'd be nice to have one last update to support what will be the final tiger update. Please. [alert admin]

FontAgent Pro 3.3.2 (Mac OS X)
Oh come on Insider Software. We all know FontAgent Pro is the best font manager on Mac OS X but what on earth have you been upto in the last year! Still no CS3 support... CS3 has been out for 6 months!!!! The last update was in December 2006 and it's fast approaching December 2007. I've been singing your praises to everyone, even managed to get the studio I work for to replace Suitcase with FontAgent Pro. With no updates in almost a year I'm beginning to look like a fool. I've supported you for years with the paid upgrades so get your fingers out and keep your new-found userbase happy! [alert admin]

TransparentDock 2.3.9 (Mac OS X)
The new Apple Keyboard (yes, the sexy thin aluminium one) also breaks Transparent Dock. I purchased it for my older Quad G5 and had to install 'Keyboard Software Update 1.1' to get the new function keys and features enabled. This update kills transparent dock so if you plan to upgrade to the new keyboard you'll need to get used to the default dock :o( [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.0b (Mac OS X)
Watch out folks. Installing Safari 3.0b kills Transparent Dock. [alert admin]

Google Earth 4.1.7076.4458 (Mac OS X)
Great application. Just superb, but what's going on with these crazy version numbers. Can't we just have a simple 4.1.7 then 4.1.8 or better yet 4.1, 4.2 etc. The way it's going I won't be surprised if the next version doesn't fit into Version Tracker's line length. Here's to v4.1.8901.9205.9284.2968.1029.1029 Beta 10290491 ;o) [alert admin]

Roxio Crunch 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Fantastic to see Roxio continue to use the excellent Toast 7/Popcorn style interface with Crunch. Toast 8's interface is a joke and the sooner Roxio realises this the better! [alert admin]

User Name terrancehines Member Since 2007-10-17 Total number of Feedback Posts: 2 (the two double posts here) What an awful company centric review. My initial reaction is that this either sounds like a developer (or associate) desperately trying to drum up support for an essentially lackluster product that hasn't been updated in almost a year. There's NO CS3 SUPPORT. This needs addressed as soon as possible by Insider Software. What on earth has happened to this product? Hello? Insider?…

Absolutely! I'm sure Google have loads of internal build numbers during testing but they really need to start rounding them off when they do public releases. There's really no excuses for releasing software to the public with version numbers relating to internal build codes. Another piece of software that endlessly irritates me with pointless version codes is video conversion utility ffmpegX. It’s been stuck on 0.0.9 for about two years but they keep going through the…

A huge step forward with the horrid interface scaling effects and blurry type progress bars with blurry images behind them? I think not. I'm really sorry but Toast 8 is a horrendous mess from an aesthetic point of view.

I'm on a Quad and it's been working perfecty now for the past few hours without a hitch! Do a little system optimisation (permissions etc.) and see if it helps. My system is ultra clean plus I've got an Uninstaller checkpoint on the system should things go balls-up.

What's happened to sixtyforce?
This is a very good point. I too paid the registration fee in the hope that I was fueling further development. I'd appreciate a response from the author just to clarify things.

What a rediculous comment. I don't work for Eovia. I'm a damned graphic design student from Scotland and my review for 2.1 wasn't based on any other 'print designer goes 3D review'. Eovia hardly needs to fake reviews for this excellent piece of software.
