NetWare Client X IP 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Thanks for doing it but needs work

We use this software for all Macs over my 22,000 student campus because we unfortunately still have a Novell Network for student logins. On any Macs in labs or public areas, people refrain from Macs a lot mainly because the whole interface for connecting is just bad. Usually, it's down in the dock and people don't know where it is and eventually just leave the machine. Also, it's got a 1990's feel for its login - can't it be more modern, like press a nice shiny button, then easily enter your username / password? Also, it's very easy for someone to forget to logout when leaving the machine, leaving all their data exposed. Or better yet, can it be integrated with the OS X login screen? [alert admin]

Use Camino!

Mac users! Use Camino! There's NO need to use Firefox on the Mac when there is Camino. Only people I know who use Firefox on the Mac are Windows converts. [alert admin]

DoppleViewer Widget 1.7 (Mac OS X)

big

Why is this so huge? I love it but wish it could be half the size. [alert admin]

Synergy 2.9 (Mac OS X)

FINALLY!

FINALLY Synergy embedds the album art it downloads in to the track file. Now I can actually have the album art on my iPod! It was SO stupid that it didn't do this before. This is also now the best album-art getter for iTunes. [alert admin]

Camino 1.0b2 (Mac OS X)

Best Browser Anywhere

Camino is the best browser on any platform, period.

Extremely fast, smooth, renderes everything perfect, built specifically for OS X. Java is a little finnicky, but I'm sure it will work fine once Camino finished.

Has better webpage support than Safari, and works better than FireFox on the Mac. It's development is really slow, but it is worth using now. [alert admin]

iNotePad 2.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Great!

Great product, very cool features, easy to use and work with. The only complaint I have is that when uploaded to web, all your tabs are lost. I take a lot of mathematical notes which absolutley need tabs to be read correctly. But other than that, great! [alert admin]

Microsoft IntelliPoint 5.1 (Mac OS X)

Works Fine

Heard the problems other people were having, so i used the 5.0 uninstaller (/Applications/Utilities/), then installed 5.1. Works fine with my Explorer 4.0. Nothing new though.. [alert admin]

DisplayConfigX 0.96 (Mac OS X)

Works Perfect

Beautiful. My Viewsonic A90f+ was only showing 75 Hz in it's default 1280x1024, but now it shows 79 Hz. (The product description states 80 hz though). But those 4 Hz make a huge difference, and my Hz settings are higher accross the board. Wonderful! [alert admin]

Unreal Tournament 2004 3229 (Mac OS X)

Horrible Performance

The Mac version of this game performs absolutely horrible. I have a dual 1.8 G5 and it creeps along at 20 fps in 1280x1024. My PC Athlon 800 with a Radeon 8500LE plays it great in 1600x1200. Bullsh*t. [alert admin]
