HTTP Scoop 1.3 (Mac OS X)
Like all good Mac software HTTP Scoop just works. Just start it up and start scooping and it completely decodes HTTP traffic on port 80 into easy to digest pages of info with the request and responses collated for easy reference. Any images, movies or other content downloaded as the result of a request can be saved to disk. If you need to stray from the default path you can sniff any port your web server is using or restrict sniffing to a particular host. I've used HTTP Scoop to debug several thorny protocol problems with web clients and web servers and can't recommend it highly enough. [alert admin]

We'd love to try and help figure out why your mileage is varying with regard to CPU usage. Most people don't have any problem with this even with 10 or more Widgets running. Send a list of the Widgets you are running to support@konfabulator.com and we'll take a look.
