djay 2.1 (Mac OS X)
However, the developer should, imho, not have disabled the recording feature in the demo. Without it, I have no idea if this program will do it for me. Otherwise, seems really good and straight forward. Will test again, and perhaps buy, when I can test the recording. [alert admin]

iVolume 3.0 (Mac OS X)
... and then go back to ver. 2. I let ver. 3 do it's thing, but got sick of the "nag" popping up every 5 tracks and sitting for 20 second before it would move on, so killed the process and went back to 2.X. BIG mistake. Suddenly, half my play list will not work in iVolume, giving the "No Tag" message. They all had tags the day before. My music, playlists, sound awful. NOt sure how it's going to get fixed. My advise, stick with the ver. that works before jumping into the fire that is this new one. [alert admin]

iVolume 3.0 (Mac OS X)
But I sure miss just highlighting a group of track (or playlist) in iTunes, than running iVolume and it would check only the highlited tracks. Now, it seems you have to create a new group in iVolume, drag these tracks over and then hit start. Am I missing something? 2.5 worked great, not sure why I'd upgrade to a version that takes, the main feature I use, away. [alert admin]

Flock 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)
Wow. After reading a review in macworld, gave it a spin. Pages that take a long time in both FF and Safari, took a fraction of the time with Flock. GREAT job importing everything. Looks like a new love has been found... [alert admin]

Transmission 1.10 (Mac OS X)
This is a solid and easy to use program. The only "bells" that is missing have to do with "Privacy". Maybe in next version, via an add on like that frog does? [alert admin]

They bill this as having a feature that allows you to sync cross platform. Good news, and it sort of works. (Some tricking is needed). What is not mentioned is the fact that to achieve this, you need to buy 2 licenses, one for each OS. Not cool in my book. As per the email response: "Yes, you need TuneRanger installed on both and you will need a license for Mac and another one for Windows." [alert admin]

I miss the simple elegance of the App. It does not function under Leopard. Hope there is an update soon... [alert admin]

SafariStand 3.0L149 (Mac OS X)
I attempted installing this once on Tiger and now on Leopard, using the correct versions. Tired both options shown in the Read Me file. Even restarted the Mac, and still, noting. Don't see any mention of it anywhere in Safari. Most be something missing... [alert admin]

Yes, very true. However, iVolume does NOT list the tracks in the iTunes folders, just as a list of tracks that can be sorted by a few categories. I need to adjust playlist by playlist; which was the main feature in ver. 2.X and is now no more. This new version may be great for some, sucks for me.

It's not $29.00, more like $58.00
A further email explains it more, and makes me run even further from this product. "Each license supports up to 5 computers but is limited to one platform. There is actually very little demand for cross-platform sync as most users are either Mac or Windows so for most5 $29 is all you need. Unfortunately for us each platform version was developed by separate teams and both groups want to make some money."

But there are no other aps that work with iTunes 6 and above. Jhymn was one but no longer works with iTunes 6 or higher. So, yes, not perfect, but this app. does make it a bit easier.
