Apple iTunes 7.3 (Mac OS X)

Changes

Apart from the iPhone and Apple tv additions iTunes 7.3 also changed the selection color in the left menu (blue/graphite instead of black), numbers sort below letters, so 10.000 Maniacs will be after ZZ Top and not above ABBA like before (happens with name, artist, album, genre, grouping etc.) + the AAC Encoder has a new preset: Highter Quality (256 kbps), the lower right buttons are lighter, MacBooks now have a sharp Cover Flow and there are maybe even more small changes. What about Safari 2?

Does the installation of Safari 3 delete the Safari 2 application? [alert admin]

Terrible app

I wish I never bought it. Cancelled during a disc copy: had to hard restart my Mac, lost unsaved work. It doesn't even do simple tasks. Horrible GUI. Won't use it again... [alert admin]

Red Snapper 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Promising!

Nice tool! They should also give the option to just have it as a Menu-item instead of a toolbar button cause I'd like to keep my toolbar extremely basic. It can't handle Flash (yet). Just try to 'snap' the Red Snapper homepage... [alert admin]

Toast Titanium 8.0 (Mac OS X)

Pricing

So the full product is $99 with a $20 rebate and the UPGRADE is also $99 with a $20 rebate. Nice pricing concept. [alert admin]

iView MediaPro 3.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Platinum Maintenance Release?!

This '1st release by Microsoft' is called a 'Platinum Maintenance Release' (...) A few bugs fixed, and they label it as 'platinum'... Oh boy. iPhoto or Aperture still can't replace some of the things I use iView for so I hope it won't turn into IE for the Mac. [alert admin]

Why does it forget?

Should be fixed cause for me it's a reason to use it less. I've trashed my preferences several times (and re-entered all my settings again) plus I have to enter two serials (original and upgrade). So silly.

Did someone pull the trigger too early on this...

Same story over here. Patch not found, after logging in. I guess we should wait for a little while.

DON'T USE IT - NO UPDATE

Please buy a PC and enjoy life! I just updated two Macs (iBook and Power Mac G5) without any problems... so please stop blaming Apple, I guess you just made a mess of your (system) configuration - like most PC users like to do - and something has gone wrong. Maybe you're just born to use a Windows PC.

Bridge in Dutch, CS2 not (yet)

If your system language is set in Dutch a mulitple-language app will be in Dutch. If you want Bridge te be in Dutch... you can (A) set your system language to English... but I guess you don't want this or (B) select the Bridge application and 'get info' (apple-i). Open the Language part and turn off every language you don't need/want. If you only turn on 'en' the next time you startup Bridge it will be in English.…

Hey dude, get a life!

The icons (bought at the IconFactory I believe) are fine. It isn't an app by Apple so why should it look like the Finder? Lots of other apps use tabs (Safari) so I don't get your point. iView MediaPro isn't perfect yet (but hardly any app is) and still 100 times better than iPhoto for my needs. I love this app!

Do we still need this?

I only use the Expander because software developers still use .sit, .bin, .hqx for packing their goodies. Have spend about $150 in Stuffit products between 2000 and 2003 and will never send another dollar to this silly company - whatever their name will be. I guess in two or three years time nobody will use it anymore and .sit(x) will be history.

too much

It's just a marketing trick You Software performs all the time. Just install de demo, register with your email and after a few days you will receive an offer to buy this product for 19.95 But... there seems to be something wrong with their registration server... the app won't start in demo-mode. Really annoying!
