Apple DVD Player Update PowerBook G4 1.0 (Mac OS 9)

There is something…

definately wrong with either the software or the DVD player in my brand new expensive G4 Titanium. Sniff. The same DVDs work perfectly on my older G4 450MP. And then there is that loud fan sound that turns on after a while on the PB. Enormously disturbing if you don't use earphones. [alert admin]

Deneba Canvas 8.0.1(build 543) (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

8.0.1 prints on…

Epson Photo 1290 och 750 flawlessly. I have been using Canvas for more than 10 years, mostly for drawing figures in scientific papers. There is no other program that works better for this purpose (I've tried them all). [alert admin]

LaCie Silverlining Pro 6.4.4 (Mac OS 9)

  I received…

my LaCie firewire 30/10/40CDRW yesterday and have NEVER had such a difficult time getting a burner to work. All other firewire drives including a Formac firewire CDRW have been plug&play but I suspect there is a non-compatibility between this drive and Toast Titanium. Sh*t.  The 6.4.4 update doesn't help. I'm going to have to return this one. [alert admin]

PowerMail 3.1b3 (Mac OS 9)

The only reason…

why I paid that much was also because Claris Emailer was so good and I mistakenly thought that PowerMail would be better. I have never used an email program (have tried nearly all of them) that crashes so much. When you sort messages, when you collect your mail, when you try to send. Good grief. The beta versions crash even more and I have come to the point that Outlook Express is beginning to look interesting. Definately not worth your money unless you enjoy crashes. Nothing wrong with hardware, G4 733 and Powerbook G4 667 with lots of RAM. There is definately something wrong with this email program. [alert admin]
