Password Generator 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Not sure this company is in business
Tried the sample and the program looks promising. However, after purchasing I have not received a serial number. Called CCNow who handle sales and they confirm my purchase. Sent an email to support@cryptonictech.com and so far no answer [alert admin]

11/19/2007 see this link to download Mac drivers: http://www.scanace.com/download/Cyb_X_SF.htm They report some functionality in Leopard and they are looking into an Adobe issue. Thus there is hope this will work with my new mac. This scanner has consistently worked well for me in conjunction with Adobe Photoshop. [alert admin]

iPhoto Library Manager 3.4 (Mac OS X)
I love this program. Am successfully using it on Leopard. I was concerned that my iPhoto library was getting way too large. Have used this to keep my various libraries a reasonable size and thus far have avoided corruption of my iPhoto libraries. Can easily switch between libraries [alert admin]

zsCompare 3.03 (Mac OS X)
This program has been invaluable when backing up folders to verify that a true clone exists. Verifying a copy of such libraries as iPhoto, iTunes or Fonts was very tedious before I had zsCompare as a tool. If one chooses an entire hard drive, it will cause the program to crash. I just did a comparison on a 30gig iPhoto folder without difficulty. I have had no problem with it crashing on a G4 running Tiger. There is good customer support from the developers via email and suggest anyone having difficulty email them. One scenario which used to drive me nuts was copying a folder with multiple subfolders to another location. During the copying process, I'd get a message saying some file could not be read. When I'd look at the destination folder, I'd have to manually go through each folder and included subfolders to see which files were copied and which ones aborted. Now I simply load up zsCompare, immediately I have side by side windows listing the origin folder and destination folder, I can confirm which files exist in each location and I can easily select those which I want to copy to the other location. I press send. There is a version for Windows as well as Mac. I have used it on a PC running XP Pro. I have not tried zsCompare in Leopard yet on a MacBook Pro. [alert admin]

Data Backup 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Bootable Clones work great - general backups reliable ![]()

I have been using Data Backup for over a year and am quite pleased with its ability to create bootable clones of my mac on external firewire hard drives. All programs on the clone work flawlessly. When backing up a portion of a drive, I use a file compare program to verify that I have an exact duplicate. If Data Backup reports no errors, the file compare program always indicates I have made an exact duplicate. I recently called tech support regarding backup difficulties a client of mine was having. I was able to get through quickly and got good support in solving the incorrect settings the client was using. In the future, I would like to see a feature which would allow me to schedule backup sets which could be locked. That way, clients who are curious but not computer adept could read log files but not change settings. [alert admin]

Crypt3 20060601 (Mac OS X)
Works great - tested before buying ![]()

Downloaded Crypt3 and tested on data files, PDF files, Excel files, and photos. Running OS X (10.4.7) Worked as intended. Will buy and add to my USB sticks so I can encrypt data which I carry. Some files say that a resource fork is being removed but was able to de-encrypt the file just fine. You can rename the encrypted file as long as you only change the portion of the new file name which matches the originally encrypted file. I am very satisfied with the performance of this program. I had no difficulty in testing the product before buying. I am ready to buy and have sent an email to developer to find out how to pay. Thus, my experience is just the opposite of yours.
