Cocktail 3.5.3 (Mac OS X)
Re: Less than Ideal with spyware (cocoablini)
Cocktail do not send any information to the developer. The only connection Cocktail makes to the Yahoo server is when the user is manually checking for the update or have enabled the "Automatically check for updates" option in the Preferences. Cocktail will also connect to your SMTP server if you choose to send the feedback using Provide Cocktail Feedback feature. Regards, Kristofer Szymanski [alert admin]

I have now posted a much easier solution to this problem
to Cocktail support page: http://www.macosxcocktail.com/support.html Open Keychain Access application (/Applications/Utilities), choose "Keychain First Aid" from the Window menu, click the "Repair" button and click the "Start" button to repair your keychain(s). Accounts Enhancer 1.2 (Mac OS X)
I tested version 1.0 and 1.1 of Account Enhancer on few macs and it worked fine but unfortunately it had some very bad bugs, which I and the users discovered later. I am very sorry for the problems Account Enhancer caused on some computers. To release Accounts Enhancer with these bugs was a big mistake and I really regret it. I have now worked for few days with rewritting the application and testing it on more computers. If you are not sure if you should use Accounts Enhancer please create a new temporary account and test it on this account... or you can read the article in Apple Support Database to manually change short names (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106824). Regards, Krstofer Szymanski. [alert admin]

I purchased both applications after receving a support email from one of the users few weeks ago (it may be "MAC_1984") and tested/run NetBarrier and VirusBarrier for two weeks without finding any problems. I would like to ask anyone who is running NetBarrier and/or VirusBarrier and experiencing any compatibility issues to contact me. Regards, Kristofer Szymanski MAC_1984: Unfortunately I don't know who you are but please contact me and I will be glad to discuss this…

Unfortunatelly this is a well known issue and not a bug in Cocktail. You can verify this by writing a simple AppleScript that get a password from a key in your Keychain. Latest version of Cocktail have now been downloaded by about 6000 users and I have so far received just seven emails from users asking me how to fix this problem.

This (launch) problem is related to default keychain and/or Keychain Scripting application. If you create a new administrator account with new keychain (new keychain is created automatically for every new account) you should be able to launch Cocktail without any problems. Latest version of Cocktail have been downloaded by about 6000 users and I got only 8 emails about this issue.
