Data Rescue 10.4.3 (Mac OS X)
Just sent following to Prosoft: Hello My Data Rescue CD arrived today, thanks. Only I'm a bit disappointed that it's very scratched/scuffed, as if it's used and was abused - and not "new". It does work fine, so no problem there. You have a fantastic program and this is the 2nd time it's come to my rescue. Thank you for that. But, you may want to work on your quality contol. Paid good money for your product, and very unprofessional of you to ship a CD that looks like it spent time as a frisbee. Let's hope this was just a basic glitch that a CD was shipped in this condition. And - to give you a heads up - will be posting this info at VersionTracker so rest of Mac Community is aware and will keep an eye out for anything similar. Thank You, BC Kelly [alert admin]

Application Enhancer 1.5.1 (Mac OS X)
Yes, this fixed my Xounds 10.4 "problem", but I also still have a lag in Fruit/Apple Menu dropping down. Not a loooong delay, but enough to notice, and not all the time, just on occasion - seems when I haven't accessed the 'menu' in a while. [alert admin]

Xounds 2.3 (Mac OS X)
Ok, is more than just ONE "log out/in"
SOMETHING is amiss - everytime re-boot machine, lose Xounds. But, get it back after a "log out/in". And have tried re-installing, etc. So, sorry Unsanity, seems you need some kind of fix, least for me. [alert admin]

Re-Boot didn't work for me, still had silence. But after a Log Out/In, all is well [alert admin]

Apple Java Update 1.4.2 Update 2 (Mac OS X)
Starting with update 1.4.2v1, and now continued with v2 -- FINALLY Apple's Java has 'passed' my personal 'test' -- Yahoo Games. I play the Pinochle, and all the previous versions of 1.4 would leave text ragged. Not now, smooth as silk. But only after I 'checked the box' in prefs to "smooth text". Before, this was only possible in 1.3. Thank you Apple for keeping at it, and finally making Java as good as any other "program/app" we have. *note* to Greg who posted below just a few, and wanting to revert back to 1.3 -- keep fishing, is a method of removing some "plist" (or something), and it works. The particulars are either posted here or at MacFixit -- keep looking and you should find it. [alert admin]

Apple Java Update 1.4.2 (Mac OS X)
None of the Java 1.4.x, including 1.4.2 will render text properly in the Yahoo Java Games (Pinochle, for me) ... each time have to revert to 1.3.1 using the remove "JavaPluginCocoa.bundle out of /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins" ... on a whim, however, before removal, was 'tweaking' the 1.4.2 Java Settings and set the Jar Compression to 'high' and for one brief moment the Yahoo Game's text was almost *correct*, but did not hold after restart. Don't know if on to something, but never could re-create. [alert admin]

Reboot didn't work for me, so just on a hunch tried "Log Out/In" - that worked.
