SoundandLights II 1.9 (Mac OS X)
A nice artsy diversion. However, I have to change my screen resolution to see the whole piece. [alert admin]

Iota 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Very simple yet visually pleasant. I cranked the wind and spinning up all the way and got a little dizzy! [alert admin]

Marketing Strategy: Focus on the four P's ![]()

Just a little marketing polish and I think this'd be golden! You've got a really good Product (I bought it and use it enough to get my money's worth out of it) that provides a nice function, so no problems there. It's placed in a global market Place and I assume you're Promoting (publicity, advertising, direct mail, promotional offers) it where people can find out about it. One thing that's been bugging me is your inconsistant approach to Price. It starts off as a $40 piece of software. Then drops to $27, then shoots up to $35? Not very consumer friendly. If you were to ask, say... a marketing guy, I'd keep the price at an inticing $20-25 mark and offer competative pricing for major upgrades (say from v1 to v2) around $5-10. Bumping the price around doesn't do wonders for building up prospective consumer confidence. Just trying to help. [alert admin]

CSSEdit 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)
This program is brilliant. I'm glad I discovered (and subsequently purchased) it during my CSS infancy. It certainly helped with the learning curve and I love the preview mode. [alert admin]

Acquisition 132.6 (Mac OS X)
I skipped the 132.5 upgrade. Both 132.4 and 132.6 work as they should. I've always enjoyed using Acqusition since the beginning. Seems a bit extreme for some people to want to take legal action (in fact, it sounds like something my grandfather would do after calling the department store to complain about why the toaster keeps burning the toast). Hold your breath, folks, and count to 10. [alert admin]

Spyder 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Good job lowering the price point of this application. I couldn't justify specing $50 before, but $25 is much more reasonable. I like it so far. [alert admin]

iBank 2.0b15 (Mac OS X)
I've been using iBank for a couple of years, and I prefer it over the others. I've been following the 2.0 beta and it this version (b15) has fixed a lot of the bugs, and is a huge improvement to this work in progress.
Can't wait until this is ready for final release.
CAUTION: This IS a BETA. Don't be one of those folks who are dumb enough to try and use betas full-time. If you really want to sample a good bit o' iBank, try the completed 1.5 version and test drive 2.0. You'll see what I mean. [alert admin]

Entourage Manipulator 1.1.3 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Dang, isn't that a bit steep for a plug-in that I can readily do myself with a simple import/export between the programs. I could be totally mistaken at its functionality as I haven't tried it yet (will do so at work tomorrow), but I don't think anything could compel me to pay $99 for this. [alert admin]

Leechster 0.92 (Mac OS X)
It looks as if his summer intership at Apple is about to begin. This was a great piece of work, Mike. Hope you're able to shake things up with your internship. Good luck! Kudos from this Indiana boy (who moved from South Bend to San Diego) to another. Hope things work out up in Cupertino. [alert admin]

JumpBoxes are the full-monty for getting wordpress (or other types of servers) up and running. Let's say you start off with a blank virtual computer (using Parallels or VMWare) with an empty hard drive... no OS, no nothing. The JumpBox will install EVERYTHING for you to run your own WordPress webserver/website: - LAMP server (stands for Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) - It'll probably set up the necessary databases in MySQL - And it'll install the Wordpress…

Yeah, that's the thought that comes to mind with the name Spyder.

I kinda agree on this one. The Spyder reference doesn't seem to link it with its functionality (not that all programs are named for what they do), but given the nature of this program someting like BeFriends (I know... sappy) or MyFriends (which is probably already copyrighted) would make much more sense. (Thanks for the updates, everything is working great!)
