Winclone 1.5 (Mac OS X)
This is simply fantastic. It allows you to back up your Bootcamp partion and restore it as needed, but more than that: it allows you to increase the size of your partition--not directly, but by enabling you to backup, reparttion with Bootcamp assistant, then restore to the new larger partition. As an added feature, it allows you to give the partition a new name, something more imaginative than "Untitled" presumably. Thanks to Two Canoes! [alert admin]

i've used other mark space s/w in the past and found it a good company, but this app simply does not work for me. it hangs, is 20x slower than .mac syncing, finds hundreds of "conflicts," and ultimately crashes or times out. been through the materials thoroughly and on the website. their own forum shows many users dissatisfied. cannot recommend . . . version still too early, too buggy, too expensive. avoid. MaxBulk Mailer 5.2.1 (Mac OS X)
Been using since 4.4, and this version does exactly what it should with good integration with most mail clients, SSL, HTML messaging, etc. Plus, VERY responsive tech support--resolved a reported bug within a day and posted a new version immediately. [alert admin]

Kerio MailServer 6.3.1 (Mac OS X)
This is an excellent alternative to OSX Server's postfix/cyrus open source setup. For me the deciding factor was that it allows groupware functionality a la Exchange for Entourage users on Mac. That is, it allows shared contacts, calendars, etc., within a group of designated persons. The only limits seem to be those imposed by Exchange/Entourage, not by Kerio. Many other features. A fair licensing price structure. Excellent support: even BEFORE I bought Kerio, their tech support called me (yes, called me) and offered to help resolve an issue I was having. [alert admin]

DropCopy 1.3 (Mac OS X)
A very "Mac" little app. Works like the mouth of a tunnel leading to other computers on the LAN. Bought site license immediate. Only pick: Why does it phone home every time I use it? [alert admin]

Motion Pictures 2.1.1 (Mac OS X)
Makes promises it can't keep. Would be great if it worked. So far, however, it has crashed on 9 or 10 attempts to export to video. [alert admin]

iPod.iTunes 3.2 (Mac OS X)
Two glowing reviews back to back by two "members" who joined the day before they made the review. Niether has any other "reviews" before or after this one! Looks fishy to me. [alert admin]
