FontCard 1.5.1b1 (Mac OS X)
Installed but caused a crash in Mail
Installed but caused a crash in Mail. Haven't tried it in anything else yet. Sent the report, so hopefully it will get fixed soon. I am just grateful to see Unsanity finally getting out Leopard versions. [alert admin]

Phex 3.0.0.99 (Mac OS X)
I have been using Phex for over a month now and it is superior to Limewire, which has become so ridden with porn and smut that I can't bear to even search with it. Phex also has better results.
It does need a little instructional pdf or help of some kind, but it can be figured out if you just play with it. The GUI needs a little refinement as well, but over all it's better than other Gnutella P2P apps I've used.
Since it's FREE and works better than Limewire, using it over Limewire is a no brainer.

Computer Glasses 1.2.0 (Mac OS X)
In Mac OS X 10.4.8 you can hold down the control and scroll with your mouse (wheel or scroll ball) and have the same effect, only you can choose the level of magnification and still mouse around the screen. [alert admin]

This piece of software is useless! One review said that it lacked instructions in the read me and insulted his intelligence. I agree completely. Maybe the software's author understands how it works because he made it, but short of some decent instructions and basic features - well it sucks. I'll stick with Disktracker. [alert admin]

[alert admin]This is the absoulte best screensaver I've ever seen. The kids turn off the lights and watch it for hours! Of course, I also put the theme from Air Force One on repeat in iTunes - just seems to go well with it. One suggestion - make the sound delay user defineable from no delay to several seconds. BTW: To the one idiot that said there was no support: I emailed the author about sound for PPC macs and he answered within minutes. Then he went and added sound even though he wasn't planning on it for the non-intel macs. This software couldn't be better - except for the user definable sound delay.

SickSaver 1.0 (Mac OS X)
It doesn't make you sick and it's a good screensaver. ![]()

Some options might be nice, loike going the other way (collapsing inward as opposed to expanding outward). Also a rotation to either right or left like a whirlpool going down.
Otherwise it is a cool screensaver and the author deserves credit....now if he can just get his web site translated into English... [alert admin]

TypeShuffler 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Under OS 9 I used to use Snitch - loved it! Simply did what it said it did with no problems. I've missed that little feature in OS X - until today! Type Shuffler, while not quite as handy to use as Snitch was via the old get info, is faster and actually handles the changes better in my opinion.
Fixed a whole bunch of mp3 files with it so that iTunes 4.9 would again let me see or change the artwork and then transfer them to an iPod!
(Creator Code=hook, File Type=MPG3, File Extension=MP3 and is optional).
Great software, easy to use. And when KAGI messed up by not giving me my registration code, the people who make this little app, had it to me ASAP (in the evening no less - no having to wait until the next business day crap. [alert admin]

I worked with Ian at Matrix on a problem and he fixed it in two days and now it's working perfectly! If you own Quark, you need this Xtension!!! BTW: Make sure your Quark preferences aren't set to auto add a new page, for some reason that will mess up the Xtension, as well as the layout of some documents. Thanks a lot Ian. MatrixTextFitter 1.0.7 (Mac OS X)
... jsut so you know. I publish a 48 page real estate guide on a monthly basis with over 700 photos, each with it's own text box. I also do pretty much everything else that I can in Quark. That's why I was hoping Text Fitter would work. I am sure it works great for most users, but the test file I used (from one of my wife's newsletters) causes it to have problems. A note about the developer: Ian was very quick to respond to an e-mail I sent him containging the file and they have confirmed the problem. I am impressed with Ian and his quick repsonse and also his ability to find out the problem and fix it. To that end, I plan on using Text Fitter ASAP. I will even make a donation. I would actually like to see GATO and Wings of Fury redone for the today's computers.

Very nice, but needs some work. On my Pismo, I had to knock the video resolution back to 640 x 480 before I could see all of the graphics properly.
Game play was perfect and I like the soft ambient sounds and inobtrusive graphics.
