The previous version did not produce results when Google was the chosen search engine but v61 brings it back. Hurray!
When installing v61 over v58 the installer gave me an error message:
Install failed: The following install step failed: run postflight script for Inquisitor. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.
I took out the Inquisitor folder from the Input Managers folder and tried again but had the same results. However Inquisitor seems to run fine in spite of the error. [alert admin]

Inquisitor 3.2 (v58) (Mac OS X)
Inquisitor renamed my local InputManagers folder.
After installing Inquisitor 3.2 on OS 10.4.11, I launched Safari and noticed that SafariStand, 1Password, and SafariBlock managers were gone. Inquisitor's installer renamed my local ~/Library/InputManagers folder to InputManagers-Tiger and installed itself in the global /Library/InputManagers folder. This is very improper behavior for an installer. Other than that I've had no problem with Inquisitor. I've been using it for over a year on my home computer. [alert admin]

fseventer 1.6 (Mac OS X)
This is exactly what I was looking for to keep track of files that new applications deposit on my hard drive. I've given the developer a donation even though fseventer is free. I only wish fseventer would keep a log with a list of all the files touched by each application. [alert admin]

Too bad about discontinuing SharePoints. One thing that neither 10.5 nor 10.6 support is that files created by a network user inside someone's shared folder do not get write permission for everyone. Apple support verified this for me. Only the Server version allows permission inheritance. SharePoints was a wonderful way to get around this limitation of the Client version of the OS.

Apparently you have not been using Silverkeeper for long. LaCie is providing a free and high quality backup application, whether you buy their drives or not, that works and is easy to use. That is highly commendable and a rare offering. Mike has been maintaining SilverKeeper for years and is always quite responsive whenever I've had problems. Your comments are without any basis. I've used several of their hard drives (actually LaCie…

Silverkeeper has the option to keep historical copies of the same file. This is from the Help file regarding the Options tab:
If you would like to keep multiple generations of changed files in the Backup folder, that is a copy of each version
of changed files, you can set No. of Copies to the maximum number of Backup generations you would like to keep.

Transmit is a good one but I recommend Yummy FTP as the most Mac like ftp program out there after evaluating all of them last year. With Yummy, as with others, you can specify which text editor to use for opening and saving remote files. What I like about Yummy is that the interface window is just like a Finder window with List and Column views. The List view even has the…
