HP PSC 2200 6.0.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
does not work, but 1) "the readme file says ..." and 2) morons who work for HP leave comments without bothering to test the software. 3) I bet you, the next post will say "I installed it without problems, HP software works great". [alert admin]

HP OfficeJet G series 4.6.3 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
PowerBook the installer abends with a "type 2" error. My G4/500 desktop can again print a page of text in less than one minute. However, G4 freezes in regular intervals, sometimes crashes when printing. Same crap as previous releases. Instead of installing 1500 files (30 MB!) HP should rather fix the @#$%^ printing. Scanning is a joke. [alert admin]

Microsoft UAM 5.0.11 (Mac OS 9)
if your admin has disabled Guest access (account) to the SFM file shares. This UAM does not allow password change (e.g. password expires) using NT4 servers; Microsoft claims this is "by design" because it is "designed for Windows2000". After 3 years, Keychain support was added. [alert admin]

Wastebasket 1.1 (Mac OS X)
- it does not crash any more. Now printout of one page with 9 lines text takes 90 seconds. None of the other problems has been addressed - two years after I bought my G85. All issues are documented at http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/bergert/reviews/allinone.htm [alert admin]

Wastebasket 1.1 (Mac OS X)
for OS9 is like a toxic waste dump. Twisted way of working plus crash every second. HP is not able to write software for Mac be it OS9 or OSX. [alert admin]

Logon just does not work reliably. Just get used re-entering your userID and pasword over and over. It is now a week. If this continues for a month, I go back to download.com.
