ClamXav 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)
A truly great service to the community
While there may not (yet) be many (any) OS X viruses, this is a great way to be ready and at the same time help squash those on other platforms; and free! Given the annual cost of a commercial package, this is truly a great service to the community. This version seems to have Sentry launching properly (1.1.0 has a few issues). [alert admin]

Memtest 4.12 (Mac OS X)
A superb asset to the Mac community with a nice user interface offered by the Rember wrapper. Caught memory failures that other utilities missed. [alert admin]

Didn't like the ability to overclock the cache and the resultant need to recover from the lock-up. Would have prefered a totally automated, feature free version. However, it devivered stability, and so the above is a minor gripe. [alert admin]

Without Smooth Type 9.2.2 is rock solid. Lots of lockups with it installed. Disappointed with purchase. [alert admin]

Apple AirPort Extreme 5.1.3 (Mac OS X)
Any firmware after 5.0.4 does not work with a WET11 with WEP enabled
With firmware 5.1.1 or 5.1.3 and WEP enabled, it is not possible for the Apple Airport Extreme to talk with a LinkSys WET11 bridge. 5.0.4 is OK, or if one turns off WEP, any firmware is good. I wish Apple (or is it LinkSys) would fix this problem. [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2001 9.0.5 (Mac OS 9)
It is great that they are still maintaining such a product, and I must say that Windows XP is impressive in its intuative interface. [alert admin]

It does not really matter what each test implies, ANY failed test is unacceptable.
