MenuMeters 1.4b3 (Mac OS X)
...for me to add another 5 stars to the rating. It has always deserved more than 5.
Does anyone really use a Mac without at least the CPU 'thermometer' in the menubar?

InerziaLightning 1.1 (Mac OS X)
InerziaSoft, I think you misunderstood what "stoneage" is saying. While respecting the work you have done, the implied accuracy is rather pointless. Count the seconds between lightning and thunderclap - using your watch/clock or the sort of 'mantra' "stoneage" does (as I and probably thousands of others do) - to give the number of seconds between seeing and hearing. Divide the result to know how far away the storm is - divide by 5 for miles, by 3 for kilometres.
Usually of more importance than the actual distance is just knowing, by repeated such countings, whether the storm is getting nearer or is receding.

I started reading the blurb a bit warily - until I suddenly noticed the name "Abracode", a name I have come to have great respect for: I have used the magnificent QuickAccess and ClipMaster for years. I stopped reading, and within moments I had FileUtilsCM installed. It's marvellous - as expected.
Many thanks YA, Abracode, for your superb contributions.

Carbon Copy Cloner 3.3-b5 (Mac OS X)
The most likely reason for schedules not working after an update is having updated by hand. Use CCC's "Update CCC" menu item - check "Inform me of beta releases" if that's what you want, and click on "Check now". You will be guided to update any schedules correctly for the new version. If you download the new version yourself you should disable existing schedules before updating and then re-enable and save them. Using that menu item is easier! Help is available in the CCC forum.

Modesty indeed! The developer can say that with the confidence of knowing that we, the very many grateful users, never see a single bug!
Very many thanks, Alex.

SlidePad 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)
...by some of the good reviews here which are highly suspicious.
I would encourage you not to even download this dreadful rip-off. Don't encourage this unscrupulous fellow by swelling the downloads number.
Why do I say "rip-off"? 1) Read the posts below, 2) Download the truly marvellous "Sidenote" ( http://www.chatelp.org/ ), and judge for yourself, noting that Sidenote comes FREE with just a request for a donation.

Xounds 2.5b1 (Mac OS X)
I yo-yo back and forth between Leopard and Tiger for certain reasons. In Leopard my Mac has felt dysfunctional for far too long. No longer. Hallelujah! Thanks, Unsanity, and don't listen to the voices of Unreason. ...and yes, a few $ is on its way.

...not just Bwana, but to show appreciation. Hey! 20,000 downloads just here at VT - and no thankyou since 2007.
Bwana is a joy to use. Many thanks!

SlidePad 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Please read the posts below. If you don't already have the marvellous (and free) Sidenote, (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/26317), try it and then judge for yourself what is being said here. You are unlikely then to countenance even wanting to look at this distasteful rip-off.

SlidePad 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
...you have read the post below by "summerstormpictures". I too have been using "Sidenote" for ages and I recommend it very highly. It is free, beautifully crafted, full of features, and a joy to use.
I hope this post helps ensure that this "rip-off merchant" gets no joy from his unpleasant money-grubbing attempt. I endorse every word written by "summerstormpictures" bar one - the final "Sorry".

Well, actually my "mantra" is Onehundred-and-ONE-Onehundred-and-TWO-Onehundred-and-THREE... with alternate feet tapping on the floor on every emphasised number... It's amazingly accurate! :-)

...of your problem but you did go about things in a rather convoluted way. For a start there is no such thing as a "bootable disk image" and you should not have used an image at all. You should have made a direct clone to the FW drive which you could have immediately booted on and tested before erasing the source.
If you need further help post in the Bombich forums. At the very least…

That surely must be an unnecessary post. No-one, but no-one, would contemplate upgrading anything without having a complete and up-to-date clone. Surely! ;-)

Your sarcasm shows a certain ability - the ability to be rude. The ability to read what others say before you post would be more impressive.
Oops! I take that back - it would take the ability to think as well as to read. Sorry!
You give me a problem. As Xounds now works purr-r-fectly for me in Leopard who, after your well-reasoned report, do I thank? I will risk your venomous scorn by saying "THANKS,…

If you're running a version of Mac OS X older than Tiger (e.g. Mac OS 10.2 or 10.3), continue using version 2.3. If you're running Tiger or later, please use version 3!

You misunderstand the situation. Alsoft are only permiited/licensed by Apple to use a cut-down version of the OS as supplied by Apple. I am sure that Alsoft are even more eager than you to supply a 'full' product but they have no choice but to wait for Apple.
