Sound Font Catalog 1.0.6 (Mac OS X)
Stuffit Deluxe 9.0 reports that it cannot extract the contents of the archive because an unknown compression method was used. Developer, please fix this. Thanks! [alert admin]

Fetch 5.0 (Mac OS X)
Refuses to download after multiple attempts, both from the VT link, as well as when going directly to the developer's website. Version 4 downloads from the developer's site without a problem. What gives? [alert admin]

GasLight 0.41 (Mac OS X)
On my beige G3 400 mhz AV unit, running Panther 10.3.9, with 768 megs of RAM, with iTunes 4.8, GasLight will not even show up in the iTunes "Visualizer" menu, no matter where I install it. On my daughter's G4 400 mhz unit, also running Panther 10.3.9, with 832 megs of RAM, and iTunes 4.8, GasLight does show in the "Visualizer" menu after installation, but it refuses to work. Going by our own experiences, as well as other previous comments posted here on VT, it seems that while GasLight may be a nice visualizer, it apparently still has some bugs, quirks or compatibility issues. We'd like to try it out, but we can't until these issues are resolved. [alert admin]

PresentArms 1.2 (Mac OS X)
Macs are known for their user friendliness. Having to launch the program, select "open", and then choose a source folder detracts from that. Please consider adding folder drag 'n drop to your application. Just drag and drop a folder on the app icon, and bingo! Thanks! [alert admin]

Konfabulator 1.8.2 (Mac OS X)
At the time of this writing, there are almost 1,000 widgets written to work with Konfabulator. No matter what your particular interests may be, you are sure to find some widgets that you will like. The variety in these widgets is simply mind-boggling...and the vast majority appear to be free! Give this program a try. You will be amazed what you can put on your desktop and do with it. Konfabulator is a must-have program! [alert admin]

Hiragana Cards 2 0.1 (Mac OS X)
The program launches...and that is about it. None of the three buttons, (Timed Self Test, Elimination and Matching), work. Under the "Options" menu, only the "Select Hiragana" option works, and one can select or deselect hiragana symbols. "Set Test Duration" does NOT work. Under the "Help" Menu, "Quick Start" does NOT work, while the other three options DO work. As is, this version of the program is useless. I ran it under Panther 10.3.8. Being an alpha, I will withhold an actual rating for now. [alert admin]

EarthBrowser 2.5.4 (Mac OS X)
OpenGL was promised a L-O-N-G time ago. It has never materialized. Some people bought this program because of the promise of coming OpenGL...so where is it??? - Also, as a registered pre-OSX user of this program, it really irks me the way this, and many other Mac developers, have adopted the policy of milking their pre-OSX users for more money. Yes, we all realize that it requires a lot of time and work to make a program OSX compatible, but the profit shoud be generated from NEW users, and NOT from those who have already paid for the OS9 version. Some of these developers need to learn how to work hard at acquiring more NEW users in order to earn a living, instead of milking again and again from already established users. [alert admin]

ScreenCleaner Pro 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Notice the date of release of this, ahem...software. Out of curiosity, to see if it really was just a joke, I downloaded this program and ran it on my G3 tower. About ten minutes later, I was suddenly surprised to see this blue rag randomly sweeping across my monitor, leaving a bright screen in its path. But if you let this program run for a while, you suddenly realize that your monitor very gradually darkens a bit, turning a very light gray, where it had been white previously, so that when the blue rag begins its bogus "clean-up", it really does look like it is working. Well, to prove that this is just intentional pranksterware on April 1st, wait the ten minutes until your monitor has that light gray "film" over it, and then shut down this program. Your monitor will suddenly brighten up to its usual self, and the "mysterious" gradual graying effect will stop. It's pranksterware, folks...and those who say contrary-wise are part of the joke, obviously...or maybe ignorantly. [alert admin]

iTattle 1.6 (Mac OS X)
Upon launching this program, it took a few seconds, but then displayed all of the data. Upon quitting however, the application's window very slowly faded from my monitor over a period of about two minutes. Even then, the program still did not quit entirely, and I had to force quit it. Developer, any idea what is causing this strange behavior? If this is for some reason intentional, a normal quick quit would be more appropriate IMHO. [alert admin]

Wings 4.0.0 (Mac OS X)
This archive fails to fully unstuff with an internal error, even after downloading it two times. If you try to use the app anyway, an error comes up stating that the database cannot be used. Heads up developer! [alert admin]

Same here, as I already stated. Clicking on the 6.0.9 download link, next to where it says "26.3 MB", just bounces me back to the previous page with the orange/gold "Download Patch" button.

I don't know why VersionTracker is already advertising 4.3.0 on their site when it is not even available yet for download on the LimeWire web site. As the other poster said, only 4.2.6 is currently available, even for the Pro version.
