Keywurl 1.4b5 (Mac OS X)

1.4b6 is now out - with Safari 4.0 final support!

I've been dying these last few days without Keywurl. I upgraded to Safari 4 final without first checking to see Keywurl compatibility. I've felt like Safari is useless ever since. You can find the latest version at the developer's website. [alert admin]

Weather.com Changes

Uh oh! Looks like weather.com has changed their format -- hopefully we'll see Meteo updated soon! [alert admin]

The Grand Lady Returns!

She sings again, better than ever! I'd just like to see the flexibility of interface that WeatherMan's menu module provides -- it's the only point still lacking. But stability! And properly working icons! Yeah! [alert admin]

G-Force 2.6.6 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

I'm a Druggy and I love G-Force!!

I'm sure that Andy, what with his current/previous commitments to our government, wouldn't like to hear it -- but I'm also sure this isn't new to him (or anyone else): I love G-Force. I smoke a LOT of weed and I listen to a LOT of music... and G-Force is simply the only visualizer I use. It's condusive to all of the states present in such a soul: stoned, sober, drunk, and stoned & drunk... Andy, you kick ass. When I found out you were an honorable officer on a US submarine, I was stunned. Clearly you did not design such a visualizer without Pink Floyd in mind. Yet perhaps you did. :) But in spirit, clearly you didn't. I thank you many many times... and I knock previous reviewers who claim that G-Force is more frantic than it used to be. G-Force keeps my fellow stoners Raving and Drooling ($1.49 to anyone who catches that reference) and it does me too. Cheers! [alert admin]

Monolingual 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)

jtrascap...

I didn't say ANYTHING about patriotism or anything else. I simply commented that the icon depicts a rather offensive (to Americans, anyway) image. Your comments about "living freedom" doesn't exactly make sense. I think the developer might not have considered the ramifications of such an image. [alert admin]

Monolingual 1.2.3 (Mac OS X)

Nice app...

No problems... but call me a hypersensitive American: I think the icon of an American flag being thrown into a trash can is kind of offensive. But it does what it says, and it certainly didn't render MY machine unbootable. [alert admin]

Meteorologist 1.3.1 (Mac OS X)

Our Recent Problems

The problem with Meteorologist, I suspect, is the weather sites have changed their format. In my extended forcasts, I get some stray HTML tags. It DEFINITELY has nothing to do with the security update since I started getting the problem BEFORE I installed the security update. This is a formatting issue, almost certainly. [alert admin]

Meteorologist's Weather Icons

I'm still not seeing proper behavior as far as display of the icons goes. When it's sunny outside, the cloudy icon is displayed. When it's cloudy outside, the rainy icon is displayed. More to the point, the displayed icon doesn't match the text description of the weather conditions. Further, I get the moon phase icons displaying early in the afternoon, and I have the day icons by about 2am. Plus, I have three machines that all have this problem. [alert admin]

iBush 2.0 (Mac OS X)

It seems to…

me it would make more sense to use ACTUAL Dubya quotes instead of made-up ones. The reality is SO much funnier than this silly piece of tripe. I could go write a program right now claiming to contain "statements much like" the developers of iBush "might do," but that's nothing more than playground teasing -- which is exactly what iBush is in its current state. Fix that, and more stars shall be added. [alert admin]
