BetterZip 1.7.1 (Mac OS X)
BetterZip is the ONLY program I could find that is fully compatible both ways with WinZip on a PC. So I can encrypt files on my Mac and bring them to my work PC, and decrypt them at work. Then I can encrypt files and work, zip them, and send them home to my Mac. I don't know of another program that does this. The performance is nearly flawless, fast, and there are frequent updates, so support is great. I bought this program a long time ago, and I've always been very satisfied that my money was well spent. Please keep on selling and supporting this little gem. [alert admin]

This program is such a delight that I had to weigh in only to confirm what others have been saying - easy to use interface, many features, stable on Leopard, and has some cool sound effects. It's just fun to use! Tastes great, too. [alert admin]

EasyMoney 1.0 (Mac OS X)
There is another program with the same name
Well, almost. It is EZ Money, does the same thing, does it well, and it is freeware, Isn't there something wrong with using a pre-existing program's name? [alert admin]

Zipeg 1.2.1.334 (Mac OS X)
Very useful but lacks one feature... ![]()

I have found this to be easy to use, fast, and not at all ugly because it is in Java (mmaybe because it is so much nicer that Windows zip programs). I would love to use this as my regular unzipper, but it lacks one very important feature: Zipeg cannot read or extract encrypted zip files. BetterZip does have this feature, and some of the browsing ability of Zipeg, but it cannot show the icons or allow inspection to the degree that Zipeg does. Maybe I'm in the minority, but until Zipeg adds the ability to decrypt (with password, of course) WinZip files, it cannot be my main unzipper. [alert admin]

AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) 6.0.28.1 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
I used V5 to edit text that was sent to me, and it worked well. Now V6 does NOT allow resizing the text entry frame. As a result, I cannot see enough of what I am writing to properly edit. Until this is fixed (resizable text entry frame), I'm goint to have to use some other IM program. This worked great thru my corporate firewall, so it's a loss. But now it is unusable. [alert admin]

iRemindYou 1.0 (Mac OS X)
there is one catch. Before OS X, I would shut down after using the computer. Now, I only let the machine go to the screensaver. So when the computer wakes up I need the reminder. Not just when I log in. [alert admin]

Auto-Lock 0.1b (Mac OS X)
To have the screensaver show but NOT lock the computer, but then lock the computer, say, after half an hour? That would be great -- Apple should have let us use sleep to lock the computer and optionally not let the scrreensave lock the machine. [alert admin]

Ollie's Tab 5.3 (Mac OS X)
DANGER - Removes font size buttons! ![]()

This application misleadingly does not tell you that it removes the buttons that increase or decrease font size. To save Command-T, we now have to resort to Command-Shift-= to increase font size, etc. This is a PITA. Why not add an EXTRA button to the toolbar? This is upsetting, and I hope it does uninstall when I rerun the installer. [alert admin]

Safari Enhancer 3.0.2 (Mac OS X)
Disabling cache causes trouble
I'm not sure if this is a direct result of disabling the cache or the way it was implemented, but once the cache has been disabled it is no longer possible to add attachments to mail in eithe Google or Yahoo. Re-enabling the cache fixes the problem. [alert admin]

Crashes the new safari 3.0 beta
I love this app - it is the only one I really miss for Safari. But 3.0 is too good to let it go. Author - please update this plugin. THANKS!

Simple interface (Review and product comparison)
YUM is up to version 1.2 and is much more feature-rich than before. It also has a very good interface, and is donationware. A great value.

Think it's weather.com's fault
This is the most likely explanation, as Weather.com is still online. It could also be that the they have changed their site somewhat so the parser cannot connect, or perhaps they are disallowing "robots" (does WeatherDoc call itself a robot for these purposes?) Hope there's a good solution available
