SurgeMail Mail Server 1.8g2 (Mac OS X)
SurgeMail blows everything else away. Well, except for CommuniGate. But SurgeMail's pricing is much better. You get 90% of the CGPro's options for only a tiny fraction of the cost. Support is top notch as well. I will recommend nothing else. [alert admin]

SurgeMail Mail Server 2.1c7 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
Having been exposed to the majority of mail server options available for OS X, both open source and commercial, I can honestly say this is by far the best. It contains 95% of the features of Communigate Pro at only a tiny fraction of the price (unlimited users is $770 US).
We recently migrated many hundreds of domains from a qmail setup to SurgeMail and have been very pleased with the ease of use and performance of the product. There is an overwhelming amount of features, including full SSL support for all protocols and a great spam filtering mechanism called Aspam. Each user has full control over their own account settings.
NetWin support has been great. We did have some stability issues when we first started using the server, but technical support was very responsive and we are now rock solid.
Do not waste your money on anything else!
