VueScan 8.4.81 (Mac OS X)
Quirky issues with this version ![]()

I’m running 10.4.11. This version seems to take much longer to open for me. When I click on “scan” many times I get the message that the scanner is “busy.” Since I have to force quit to start over, it can take several attempts to actually get Vue Scan to quit. Once I can get it to run it works beautifully as expected. My scanner is an Epson 2450 connected by USB2 and has never been a problem with previous versions. [alert admin]

VueScan 8.4.01 (Mac OS X)
Version 8.3.87 and my Epson just wouldn't work together. First time that has happened to me in the many years I've been using VueScan. Version 8.4 renewed my belief that VueScan is the best scanning program I've found and 8.4.01 is already out and my scanner is continuing to scan without a hitch. I whole heartedly recommend VueScan! VueScan 8.3.87 (Mac OS X)
Program does not recogonize my Epson 2450 scanner anymore. Hitting preview or scanner buttons produces waits of 5 minutes and no scanned item. From a truly great program has become useless in one update. I cannot recommend vuescan anymore after 7 years of quality workmanship. I needed my scanner for a major photo scanning assignment and I just got royally taken and I cannot find an older version of the program to complete my work. [alert admin]

CAUTION! CRASHES SAFARI AND LOSES PREFERENCES
Do NOT download this piece of crap! As soon as it downloaded on 10.4.7, it crashed Safari and when I re-opened, all of my preferences for Safari were reset to the base preferences. THIS PROGRAM IS JUNK! [alert admin]

Adobe Reader 7.0.7 (Mac OS X)
Downloaded over ten times and still it will not install itself correctly. After going through all the misc. steps one has to go through, when Reader actually tried to open it says, "Reader did not install correctly." Checked the website and there no way to get a complete version of Reader other than 7.0.7 which quite plainly, sucks. [alert admin]
