Apple Digital Camera RAW Support 2.0.4 (Mac OS X)

Apple is on the ball

It's great to see such rapid updates for RAW support. The Sony A200 was just released a few weeks, and here is the RAW support from Apple! [alert admin]

Adobe DNG Converter & Camera Raw 3.4 (Mac OS X)

3.4 plug-in problems

I'm having problems with PSE3.0 hanging when using the 3.4 plug-in on .DNG files created from Maxxum 5D RAW files. I had to revert to 3.3 which works perfectly. [alert admin]

Chicken of the VNC 2.0b4 (Mac OS X)

A great application

I've been using this to connect to machines running Apple's remote desktop server and it works extremely well. I even find it usable over 802.11b. [alert admin]

Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 (Mac OS X)

A good deal

I don't do enough editing to fork out the dough for full photoshop, but I regularly use elements to edit pictures organized under iPhoto. I find this works quite well and gives great results. [alert admin]

PithHelmet 0.7.3 (Mac OS X)

incompatible with iChat AV

I was getting a blank video screen with iChat AV until I read on the Apple support forums that this is caused by the latest pithhelmet. I hope the author can fix this soon as pithhelmet is enormously useful. [alert admin]

Only if you are "in the club"

If you upgrade to version 2 can't you go the DNG route?

Job's–like program ....

Drag photos to the Finder and now you have jpeg copies... wasn't that easy? Also, iPhoto6 has an option to leave photos where they are on import, though I don't use it myself.
