How accurate? How safe? One answer is from user feedback, another is at

The ads, and how to remove them...
No-one likes the ads, including Mike Bombich. Read what he says about them in this thread, and how easy it is to stop them from appearing.

Carbon Copy Cloner 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Tiger, Leopard... A clarification.
CCC has always been compatible with Tiger. Apple made an error in the early iterations of Tiger which caused authorisation problems to CCC and other applications. A temporary 'workaround' was immediately posted here. Apple corrected their error with the release of OS 10.4.2.
For both Tiger and Leopard we recommend you use CCC v3 (currently 3.0.1), giving many more options than v 2.3.

OldFolder 1.0 (Mac OS X)
At last. Developer, what took you so long? (Just joking). Lots and lots of folk are going to be delighted with your effort.
Works instantly. To the prev poster, what I did: drag the d/loaded "OldFolder 1.0.0" into the Dock and then click on it. Choose your folder – its icon shows in the Dock. Click again on it to change the target, but the HALLELUJAH! is what happens when you Control-click on it!

MoveCM 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Allow me to respond to the comments you made about my previous post. Speaking entirely for myself...
When I move an item I am aware of where I am moving it from and to and do not need a display of either path as in Terminal. Others, of course, might.
I cannot recall wanting to undo a move - I can't guarantee "ever", just that I can't recall such an occasion. Were it to happen, I find Command-Z perfectly adequate. "Undo" works in the expected way after a 'QuickAccessCM' move. I can imagine nothing simpler, faster or more intuitive than that.
I find creating and modifying the settings for "Quick Access" (i.e. show), "Move To", "Copy To" and "Make Alias In" in QuickAccessCM extremely simple. You may find it "big and complex" - I don't.
I believe in a free market. I believe in the consumer's right to information and to choice. I have not in any way denigrated your product. I see nothing "unfair" in disseminating information if that information is true. That you, as a "competitor", may prefer it not to be so is a different matter.
I am grateful to Abracode for giving me a superb tool free of charge, and I am pleased to repay them in a very small way by making this kind of post. I consider that fair and decent.
You have no need to go on the defensive. I am not attacking you. For all I know your product may yet prove to be a phenomenal leap forward in such utilities. If it is, rest assured that I will say so. [alert admin]

MoveCM 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I don't want to be unkind to this author, but I also want to be fair to Abracode's QuickAccessCM which does a lot more than just move and does it all MAGNIFICENTLY... and it is free. I have been using it constantly for several years and rate it fifteen stars! :)

Baseline 0.3.0 (Mac OS X)
Sorry, I chose the wrong option in my previous post. Very unusual for a beta, but this is a 5 star product.

Baseline 0.3.0 (Mac OS X)
This is a huge step forward...
...in this genre of tool. With so many "where has my HD space gone?" posts in all the forums it looks as if the answer might soon be "Baseline will tell you".
It sounded moderately interesting. Seeing interest being expressed by the likes of MicroMat Tech3, Hal Itosis and now by Joemikeb, I thought I ought to have a look at it. It is FABULOUS. A complete scan for changes in just a few seconds, the ability to get rid of all the clutter and see only the changes, the ability to instantly toggle absolute and delta, the inclusion of /Volumes, etc - makes spotting things that could be of interest easy instead of, as in WhatSize, a huge pain.
I hope I haven't spoilt the pitch price-wise by being so enthusiastic! It needs to be very affordable to encourage users to switch from the *free* WhatSize.
Two entirely cosmetic, almost petty, -ve comments: debugging reporting should be switched off before releasing so that console.log doesn't fill up, and text box width (I think that's what it is) needs attention: I don't have an 'Application' directory in ~/Library! That truncation is only in Directory Tree View.

QuickAccessCM 1.7.2 (Mac OS X)
VT comments have had this fault for several YEARS and do nothing about it. Even though I was well aware of it, this time it caught me - as far as I could see, even after half an hour my post had not appeared. VT should employ at least one person who knows a tiny bit about scripting a site.
