Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)
When WILL there be an Intel update? Oh and yeah for bundled vrsns, I paid for it, I know own a new mac, so I wish to play it on a faster larger (much) screen... If I can't give me the equivalent money back so I may purchase another game I can play, no? suprise.... Or shall I just wait until Mac has Tony Hawk's Pro 8 hahaha yeah when I'm 50 ! maybe by then Aspyr may have realised there is a REAL market/reason for bringing mac ported games out very (VERY) close to other platforms... *cough* INTEL DUEL CORE 70%(?) of all new macs / INTEL ALL new macs!! *cough* forget it, I'll buy the PC version and run Windows on my mac ... pffffff! not ! ! COME ON!!! [alert admin]

VLC media player 0.8.2 (Mac OS X)
If Quicktime could PLAY the amount of file differences this does it would justify the PRO fee. VLC is the best (since version 0.4) About to try 0.8.2 hope i can play ALL my avi's etc on this as i have had to revert back to pre equalizer versions (07.1a) too many times. And i hope skins are possible on Mac OSK... i have X11 installed but i'm clueless..... Need a more accessable to all alternative (i.e put in folder "..." select preference "..." select skin i.e. Audion, Soundjam esque. AND the EQ version works... that'll be great with 5.1 sound - hmmm YUM YUM - £15? ok.... [alert admin]

G-Force 2.7.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
G Force + 3 years + Xmas hints (inc a load of waffle)
from a Fan of ALL things trippy. The most hypnotic visual for (now) all the major mp3 players. RIP Soundjam :( After following it for 3 years and hinting until i'm blue in the face (since the Gold version was released) i guess I'll have to buy it myself... Download the demo and then resist buying the FULL version (the demo has kept me happy for, as i say, 3 years but now i WANT MORE!) Pay the man. Its not often such a polished (all be it of purely visual pleasure) app be free to the world for so long, and now even the 'demo' is 5 times better than version 3? 2? long time... The mass of, mainly (excellent) Japanese, 'VJ' style audio activated apps may have the option of 'VJing' but still do not come close especially at the price!!!!! ps don't forget Whitecap! let it run for more than 30 seconds, it hots up & takes off i assure! Glad this wasn't available (and the Macs/PC's to power it) back in the early Eighties. what a 'SMILEY' time that would have been, maybe too smiley. ACEED! Now if only MandleAcid2.0 (Mandlebrock generator) was resurrected for OSX with an audio trigger.... i'd once again be experienced... with an off button! (and SoundJam... i miss it so, go on Apple let the guys continue it... plz. (i am right that the SJ Krew are now fully the iTunes krew?) I like skinable players. A nice chromium skull n crossbones, sweet. Peace All [alert admin]

VLC - probably the best, most flexable media player on the planet ![]()

Absolutely brilliant. More control (via deinterlacing etc) than Apples DVD player (+ the broadest covering OS media app) Plays SVCD, VCD, VOB, TS Folders (via either play and the locating either file, disc etc), all MPEG's. I can't say how great this is enough :) An absolute MUST for those fortunate enough not to own a mac with a superdrive but an external DL DVDRW Lacie 16x or... ? drive (if your external isn't recognised by iTunes, iPhoto etc get Patchburn (now vrsn 3 and Pacifist to extract and instal DVD player (if you want... VLC does it all with more control!!) ... Why are external DVD Drives better than the Superdrive? Because a burnt DVD from a superdrive is reported to have a massive amount of limited playback on other (home) dvd machines. Unlike externals. Just check VLCs website for any info, its all there. Dosen't the title say it all? Its a handy little thing if you ask me. I can qwuickly remove the 'scarry' pictures my 6 year old dosen't like and add kittens or? far quicker than Sys Prefs> Desktop> Select File/Folder etc. (almost! OS9 customisation ease) & it's 1 of VERY few Tiger CMs eg Quickimage! - comeback, leave Leopard, I NEED you on my older machines that run slow in Panther but far better in Tiger…
