FileZilla 3.2.4.1 (Mac OS X)
Launched this app and practically quit it immediately. The interface is awful and considering the great other options such as CyberDuck and alike a saw no reason to battle through this ugly up to try and work it out. [alert admin]

HansaWorld Enterprise 5.2 (Mac OS X)
Crash-happy and seriously lacking ![]()

We were very interested in Hansaworld for our online retail company as it appeared to cover all the things we wanted out of an ERP system so we did some serious testing. Overall we found the system seriously lacking in required business functionality. Both the client and server software were very crash-happy... not what you want as the backend to your business! The system itself is very awkward and looks like something from System 6 days. There was going to be an obvious cost involved in getting staff trained on using such a non-intuative and backwards system. The most serious concern for us was that the sales people in Australia were telling us that it works fine with our local tax system (GST) when in fact our evaluating showed that it doesn't. It may be suitable for other countries but in Australia it's not fully compatible with our tax system which would cause major legal problems. Their sales people didn't seem to be able to comprehend what was required by law in Australia, nor did they seem interested. For the exorbitant price I expected a lot more. I asked about the software at my local AppleCentre, where I know and trust the owner, and he told me that the Australian company has already been in legal trouble for providing a systems not suitable for Australia and that their overall reputation was very bad in the industry. Hardly a glowing review :( We're still looking for a good Mac based system. [alert admin]

The updater runs and shuts down my MacBook Pro. After restarting by holding down the power button, the light flashes but then it just restarts as normal. Have now tried several times with no luck. [alert admin]

K-Conversion 1.2f (Mac OS X)
I inserted a DVD which it recognised and "Scanned" but stopped there. So no action for me. No documentation or Help is provided with the download so no assistance there. Can't recommend something that fails to operate at all :( [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 2.1.1832.0 (Mac OS X)
I've been using this software quite a bit with Win XP Home since I got a new MacBook around a week ago and I've been really impressed. Works very much like the old Virtual PC did, especially after you install their little "helper" software on the PC side which enables the transfer the clipboard between Mac-Win etc. Performance is great for anything I've thrown at it so far. Very happy :) [alert admin]

AppStartSaver 1.8 (Mac OS X)
Works as it says it does. And the prices is right! What more can you ask for? :) Good for situations such as kiosk machines or similar when you want people to be able to use the Macs but after a period of non-use when the screen saver kicks in your "default" or demo app is re-launched. Just what I was after :) [alert admin]

YB POS Lite 0.9.9 (Mac OS X)
Promising, but far from usable (yet) ![]()

This system looks a lot more promising that other systems available for the Mac. But in it's current version it's unusable. The App on more than one occasion corrupts it's own database which then causes the app to crash. Features of this app are very limited, especially when compared to the Windows equivalents available. Although with such a *small* amount of POS software available for Mac, and very few close to reasonable, there may be a market for this software yet! [alert admin]

Yep, Get exactly the same problem that when you switch to a new app the mouse speed can suddenly start moving a hell of a let faster. Switch to a different app and it's fine.... crappo :( I too like their mice but software sucks.
