Point-O-Mat 1.2 (Mac OS X)
It does what it says and it lets you choose between the different formulas -- and it's free...! And from what I know it is the only WW Points calculator for the Mac...! :)
But I must say that it is a bit sad that even a German developer doesn't bother localizing his own app...it adds to the user experience, you know?! Even for a simple app like this... [alert admin]

GraphicConverter 6.2 (Mac OS X)
Still good...but also still ugly, still bloated...! :( ![]()

It's all been said before, so I don't want to get into it again -- and Thorsten Lemke doesn't really seem to care about the criticism anyway...
Or maybe he just doesn't know where to start if he actually were to re-design the app...?!
But then again, what's the alternative to GC?!? So far I haven't found any...there's a few picture viewers that don't do more than the Preview app and a few self-proclaimed image editors like Acorn etc, which mostly shine with the kind of pretty interface that GC is s sorely missing...but I haven't found any app that could replace GC for me yet...
Anyway, once again it has to be said though -- GC needs a major overhaul and considering the price tag and the money the developer has (deservedly) made it should happen real soon...! [alert admin]

Logitech Harmony Remote 7.5.0 (Mac OS X)
What's wrong with those people, why the *beep* do they scatter their files and folders all over my Mac in such a redundant way...?!? Will they ever clean up their act...?! I don't want to have two Logitech remote apps, combine them into one package...!!! I don't want to have several Logitech folders on my Mac, put your stuff into one folder and then move it to Application Support or somewhere else, out of my sight...!! Is this really so difficult...?!? [alert admin]

Xtorrent 1.1 (53) (Mac OS X)
I really enjoyed using this app until last January or so I mentioned that it had been banned from many sites, due to the fact that it was using old, unsecure and unreliable Transmission code -- so I contacted the developer and he said it wasn't much of a deal, he just had to update the libraries etc. and then would post an update...
Only he never did...!!! I haven't been able to use Xtorrent for over a year now and as it now turns out he doesn't even bother anymore, since he stopped development on it...!?! Before that I alwaays thought that the negative comments and reviews about him were a bit over the top, but I can understand them now...!
Just like he promised bloggers who would write about NewsFire a preview of the new version by the end of last year -- it never happened...!
It's kind of sad though, I liked using Xtorrent, espcially for the included RSS reader...but just like so many others I will from now on stay away from any software Mr. Watanabe may publish...! [alert admin]

Webbla 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I've tried 1.0 and now 1.0.1 -- and so far I haven't been able to import any kind of bookmarks...! I exported from Safari, I exported from Firefox, I tried altering the names and contents, whatever I try, all I get is ""Bookmarks.html" is not a valid bookmark file."!?!?
So why would I consider paying for an app when the most standard of it's features is such a hassle to begin with...?! [alert admin]

Flock 2.0b2 (Mac OS X)
Can we have Flock without a browser...?!
No, seriously -- I am still waiting to find a native Mac app that combines all those social networks and services, instead of being forced to jump through different browser windows...! It's about time someone came up with that -- and since Safari has always been the browser of my choice maybe the Flock guys could actually concentrate on building a really good "social" app instead of trying to compete with other web browsers...?! Calculate Points 1.0.0.0 (iPhone)
It lacks a few more options, considering the price -- but it's already quite useful for anyone following the Weight Watchers nutrition concept...! [alert admin]

Seems it's already been removed from other download sites, maybe VT should do the same...!? [alert admin]

Vuze BitTorrent Client 3.1.0.0 (Mac OS X)
This thing is ugly, bloated and buggy...! I find it totally confusing and mostly unusable, and even if you revert to the "old" Azureus GUI, it sucks as much...! Just like all those Java apps it just looks and "feels" wrong and even though it might be something for people who'd consider themselves 'power users' this is definitely far from what a good Mac app should be... Fossi 1.0.0 (Mac OS X)
Yes, this sure looks interesting, but of course it needs way more services included than just Sipgate...! I've been using eFax (http://www.efax.com/) for quite some time and their Mac client sucks big time, so it would be awesome to see support for the eFax service...! I guess it's also a matter of the service providers letting you use their APIs, but I'll be looking forward to further improvements... :) [alert admin]

Well, I remember the dev promising people who'd blog about NewsFire a sneak peak of version 2 by the end of last year -- of course it never happened...! Still no sign of a new version and he never answered any questions about it either...

Just as I thought -- my license is gone!
Oh man, VT really need sto fix their comment feature -- either your comment gets uploaded several times or it just disappears...!? My lengthy reply just vanished...!? :(
Anyway, I'll keep it shorter this time then...so thanks again for your reply!
I didn't mean to imply that you actually "tricked" anybody, it just would have been nice to get some advanced warning before the update...
Well, I'll just have to decide myself if the update price will be…

I didn't mean to imply that you were tricking people into updating, it's just that an advanced warning would have been nice! Also I feel that the upgrade rebate isn't really too tempting cnsidering the price of the app, but then again that's just my personal point of view, of course...
Anyway, as good and convenient as the app is, I'll just have to decide if it's worth that price for me...but…

First of all thanks for your reply...! :)
"The file name needs to contain S01E03, 01x03 or 01-03 to identify the video as episode 3 or season 1 of a TV Show."
Well, actually the files were named just that way...! And yet only one was recognized as a TV show and the other two ended up in movies...!? That's what I find confusing...
Anyway, I'll try the new version and experiment around a bit, let's see…

That still doesn't make sense -- whatever objections you have, when you rate a single category such as price how can you give 2 stars for free...?!? There is no better price than free...!
Of course it's alright if you give bad ratings for other categories, just the way you feel about it...and you did, but rating a free app as overpriced (which you did by that) just because you don't like what it does, is…

...and how can you give 2 stars for "Price" for a free software...?! Does the dev need to pay you so you'd give more there...?!?
